Perfect getaway with individual authentic bungalows full of charm with serene views for sunset. Exquisite food at restaurant and great breakfast delivered each night for leisurely mornings. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Good blend of luxury and ethical hospitality supporting rescued animals.

Enjoying a very nice dinner in a wonderful original malayan atmosphere! The evening before we attended a wonderful concert with tan Sherman, whom we met again at our dinner. The waiter (sham) customized me a salad and my absolute favorite side dish, a marvellous mashed potatoe, the best on the island so far, i have tasted. Recommended bon Tons kitchen all day long! Fab drinks, better than at the st. Regis we heard!!.

This was our second time at Bon Ton Resort. What we love (and what made us come back) is that this is not your typical resort. The villa's (or houses) are salvaged traditional Malay homes, lovingly given another lease of life. Because of this, there are only x8 on the site, making for a wonderful secluded, exclusive stay. We were fortunate to stay in Yellow Orchid, before receiving an upgrade to Laguna Villa (100 years old). As these are antique properties, some of the doorways are short, so mind your head if you are tall. There are many other things we love about Bon Ton Resort. The staff are amazing: friendly, nothing is too much bother and after a week the team felt like friends. They are also firm animal lovers (the Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary - LASSie is adjacent) and cats roam the property (there are dogs as well, but they are on leash). For music lovers, they have live music on a Sunday night which we were able to experience and was brilliant. The breakfast included is ample, we did not go hungry.

We had a peaceful and beautiful stay at the bon ton for 5 days and 4 nights. We stayed at white frangipani, blue ginger, and the palm. Its hard to tell which one is better because all the wooden houses here are unique and have their character. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, beautifully restored wooden malay house, great scenery, and cats, this will be your place of choice. We made some mistakes during our booking on other platforms, but the owner and helpful staff made some thoughtful arrangements for us. Thank you.

It’s a unique experience to stay in an antique Malaysian home brought into 21st century comfort. Staff here are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is the best we had on the island & the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere. This is a really special place & if you want to get away from impersonal, standard hotel environments this is the place for you. We stayed in Black Coral & the room was beautifully furnished, stylish & comfortable.

This wasn’t our first time at Bonton. But it was even better than we remembered. The villas were very clean and oh so comfortable. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance, but the resort provides “combat” kits and all beds are netted. We would come back again!

We loved the Bon Ton. All the rooms are separate houses in the grounds. All on stilts. The staff would prepare the room for the evening by plugging in mosquito deterrents and spraying. They also left breakfast in the fridge. It’s a delightful hotel where all the staff are super nice and friendly. Wi-fi doesn’t seem to reach the bedrooms. The hotel supports the dog and cat sanctuary next door. There are quite a lot of cats around which we loved but may not be for everyone . It’s located a bit of a walk from the beach but we got Grabb taxis and it was £1.50 for a ride. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to go back.
