Room was clean but lacked plugins for the phone. Only one that was on the other end of the room. No kettle or Fridge. You can get a Thermos of hot water feom the front desk. The owner, his wife and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant at the end of the block. You need walk a few blocks to get to the 7/11. Daily night market was about 10 min walk. I liked the location as it was close to the Trai and bus terminal

very friendly staff know where to eat (lots of places to eat in this area), called a taxi when we needed, walking distance to historical old town, Ipoh train station, night market, medan kidd bus terminal. If you use the bus from medan kidd, they will drop you at in front of Public bank which is just 1min walk from this hotel(the bus ride is just 4-5min from medan kidd). stayed at delux twin room with a big window, our room is very clean, spacious, nice and new hot water shower, great wifi connection, with elevator. You can buy a big-sized bottled water for 1R at the front desk. If you want a basic and simple room, this is the perfect place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again in the near future!

Cheap price for spacious family room...big free hotel parking at behind..kind and helpful receptionist i forgot her name...walking distance to mamak restaurant...peacefully place...overall is a nice place to stay...!!!!

This is a very good hotel at a budget price well located within walking distance to both old and new towns, the river walk and the sunday markets in Memory Lane. The lady on the front desk during the day was very helpful and knowledgeable and showed excellent customer service. The rooms are spacious and well maintained and the cleaners do an excellent job at keeping the hotel extremely clean. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend this hotel as a base to explore Ipoh.

The hotel's location in the city center of Ipod City looks dated, and it's located in a quieter and older part. It's essential to have your own transportation. The front desk personnel is polite and accommodating. The rooms are adequate in size and the bathrooms are adequate. We had high expectations because we spent more during the cny peak season. Higher. However, given normal off-peak hours, the rooms are adequate for the amount charged. While our mattress was comfy, the room was clean. Overall, we got what we paid for.

There is nothing extraordinary about this cheap, tidy, and cozy hotel. Our experience while staying at this motel was generally satisfactory. The accommodations are spacious on the plus side. The bed is comfortable, and the location is reasonably clean, but not immaculate. Although the bathroom is a little threadbare, it appears to have been changed each day. The staff is friendly and does their best to assist. One of the rooms I checked into smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and we asked for a room change enthusiastically. On the downside, there are some drawbacks. The apartment is bare-bones furnished. Although some of the rooms we stayed in had bathtubs and others just showers. There were no mini fridges. At my one large bottle of water, drinking water can be ordered at reception. Even for loan, there were no hair dryers available. One of the rooms we stayed in was a noisy aircorn that kept its occupants awake. The only channels in the rooms were terrestrial channels, but they have a to. The terrible caterwauling emanating from a karaoke bar about 200 meters away was the worst of all, and this is not the hotel's fault. So make sure you request a room without facing the front if you're staying here! Given the choice, I would rather not remain here, but it is a cheap mo

I stayed at the Dragon and Phoenix Hotel for a few days and had a great time. The location is nice, it's a bit far from the main tourist areas. A good supermarket is a short distance away, and there are many restaurants nearby. The air conditioning in the room is excellent and clean. Very kind and helpful personnel, Lei and Cecilia will help you with your needs. Keep it up.

It's a real price for everything. Very recommend for a cheap traveler. The bathroom with bathtub is very comfortable for my kids. Walk to food stand. Lots of parking in front of the hotel. In the lift, it is easier for us to carry large luggage.

The dragon phoenix hotel has modernization efforts, but it appears dated. When we checked out, the signboard was replaced by brand new ones. The bathroom in the apartment is new, with powerful pumps. The staff is helpful. One of them told us that the car lights were on so we could turn them off. The room is roomy.

Basic hotel in a very central location. It's an old and dated hotel, furniture and sheets are old but clean. Bathroom is clean. For the price paid, can't really complain. Location is convenient for walking to the major tourist places downtown. Good if you want a cheap stay. A bugbear is there is no socket near the bed, so you can't charge and use phone in bed. No kettle provided but you can buy big bottled water for RM1 at the counter.

Sehr sauberes, gut geführtes Hotel mit Aufzug, dessen Charme vergangener Tage wohl verloren ging. Die Altstadt einerseits und der Nachtmarkt andererseits sind in ca. 15 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal.
