Star rating akan sesuai dengan rating dari pemerintah daerah setempat. Jika rating berbeda dengan informasi yang tertera di website, maka rating dari pemerintah daerah yang akan berlaku. Pajak ini wajib dibayarkan ke hotel saat check-in dan tidak termasuk di harga kamar dan pajak yang tertera.
Mulai tanggal 1 Januari 2025, Dewan Kota Melaka akan menerapkan Pajak Kebudayaan sebesar MYR 3-5 per kamar per malam. Pajak ini berlaku untuk semua tipe akomodasi, termasuk hotel bintang 0-5, aparthotel, motel, penginapan, homestay, vila, dan resor.
