About Japamala Resort by Samadhi – Age 12 and Above Only
Located on the beautiful Tioman Island, Japamala Resorts - By Samadhi is set amidst a tropical rainforest. It features an outdoor pool, 3 dining options, and 16 units of Malay "kampung-style" inspired chalets and villas. WiFi is free in public areas.
Tastefully decorated, the suites and villas come with classic wooden interiors and windows that provide natural light. Each stylish unit is equipped with a minibar, balcony, Smart TV, and a private shower.
From foundation to roof tiles, every part of Japamala Resort is constructed by hand, by a team of craftsmen using wooden hand tools. Great care is taken to minimise any environmental impact - no rocks were moved nor trees cut down and as a result, no two chalet and villas are the same, each taking on the character of the land upon which it is built. Nature is quite literally our architect.
Guests can enjoy spa treatments, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, or diving. Outdoor activities are strongly subject to weather and sea conditions.
Tamarind Tioman Restaurant is an all-day dining restaurant that serves a spread of Malaysian cuisine. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A selection of Western breakfast favourites is also available. Il Tempio offers Italian cuisine such as signature pasta, pizza, and a selection of fine wines. Mandi-Mandi is the resort's iconic spot for enjoying grilled seafood and selections of cocktails and beverages overlooking the sunset and panoramic view of the sea.
