If youre nearby, i would strongly advise trying this restaurant. Excellent location in victoria for lunch and breakfast. Interesting setting with iconic images of notable individuals all over the walls. Their homemade potatoes were expertly prepared.

We had a wonderful brunch with my wife and some friends. The service was excellent, and they even assisted us in choosing the menu. We ordered turkey sausage, valdys frittata, chicken strips, and meat lovers hash. The turkey sausage and chicken strips were excellent. Hopefully, we will be visiting here on our next trip to Victoria.

We also stopped by the mimosa tower before our surprise engagement. This place is a mustvisit in victoria, and we will definitely be back! The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. From the greeting to the prompt but not overly fast checkins, the wellprepared food, to the thank you and good bye. Im not sure if the food or the service really impressed me! I requested an armless chair for comfort and was promptly assisted. I dont usually like cornbread, but this one just hit the spot! The yankee beef hash was unquestionably the best dish, topped with some hollandaise.

One of the simpler brunch suggestions large menu, friendly staff, and delicious food. My only complaint is that the potatoes were not cooked all the way through, but they were very tasty and crispy.

We visited johns house and this was our first trip to victoria a few months ago. The restaurant had a long line. The halfhour wait was well worth it. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, it was noisy but still had fun with the souvenirs. The food was fantastic, the best waffles ive ever had. The maple syrup at the house was also excellent. We adored the bennys and everything else we had. Must visit when in victoria. The staff was very friendly and assisted us in placing an order through their extensive menu. Will definitely go back.

If youre looking for a great breakfast or brunch in Victoria, enjoy the atmosphere, with great food options to choose from, you should definitely try Johns place! I personally recommend classic benny and polish fritata. Bon Appetit!.

The best egg benedict is out of this world! Great place with a great atmosphere! Wait times are usually 10-15 minutes or longer depending on rush hour. But the wait is worth it. Customer service is also great, friendly staff and serving with a smile. Must visit places for anyone visiting Victoria.

Overall, the food is excellent. One of their specialties was the egg benedict. There is a lot of people, and there isnt much room. I highly recommend it, both from our local uber driver and now from myself. The decor is interesting, but it works.

Johns place in bc is a true hidden gem! The pancakes were the highlight of our breakfast, perfectly cooked and generously sized. The food was absolutely delicious and left us wanting more. Weve been here a few times now and it never disappoints! My husband and i had the vegan burrito and it was amazing! Whatever was in it was very tasty and kept us full all day. I cant wait to have it again the portions are generous! The staff are all very friendly, especially the longterm ones who have been there forever. The restaurant and facilities are always clean.

It was my first time going to johns and also victorias. All of my friends recommend this place for brunch. So i went there around 11.30 with my girlfriend. There were several teams waiting. I put my name in the list and waited 20 minutes. I saw the food that people ate while i was being served on the table and it looks very delicious. I ordered classic benny and it was legit! Also the staff are very friendly and very nice! They made my day!.

A favorite local for classic brunch! Johns place is wellknown throughout the city, and many locals have recommended it! Here, we tried a variety of dishes. The egg benedict was fantastic, with perfectly cooked eggs and a distinctive twist on the cornbread base. Although the ham and cornbread were a little dry, this still impressed, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly! The veggie omelette was a friend who ordered it, and he noted that it was a little overdone and dry. Their take on chicken and waffles is a clever cream cheese syrup variation, but to be honest, i also found it to be quite dry and brown. The coffee blend is excellent, and the complimentary bread is a plus! Our server was delightful, and it is undoubtedly a favorite local favorite! At this price point, i might choose to go elsewhere for my favorite brunch items or something more trendy, but if classic plates are what youre looking for, this is your spot!.

In the holiday season, four of us went for brunch. The wait was 20 minutes, but it quickly passed. There was a nononsense 'get it done' feeling as far as ordering when we were seated. The food was delicious, but it came out pretty quickly! My wife ordered a pancake with bananas. She was going to make it into pancakes, but the server talked her out of it and into a single pancake. My wife ordered corned beef hash, and my friend and i ordered meat lovers hash. Everyone was pleased with their choice, and as rushed as the ordering went, we were not hurried. We were not hurried throughout the meal. Definitely going back!.
