We had no idea what to expect as we booked last minute without doing any research nor looking at pictures. Also the name, One & Only Desaru, is somewhat non-descript, it doesn't evoke much... This is a 5-star resort, an oasis secluded from the world, large luxurious villas, private beaches and all -- and also, I guess, from paparazzis! That kind of a place. Top, top, top. Will return for sure.

I cant say enough good things about this resort. The service is amazing, the facilities are clean, the food and drink are delicious, and the spa is amazing. They took us by buggy to their huge sports and recreation center across the road from their new beach club, all on the same grounds. The rooms are very spacious, each equipped with a private pool, sunbed, and separate indoor or outdoor lounge. I highly recommended for anyone considering visiting.

A nice and convenient 5 star resort from singapore. There was something for everyone here, as a family of 11 with children and an elderly person. The suites layout is peculiar. It can be a bit delayed to respond to messages via phone, but overall, we were very happy with the staff. The pool is unique and not overly chlorinated, which is a plus. The ocean view suites are scarcely available, and some rooms have broken screens that are unusable. The pastries were also delicious. The beach club flatbreads were also delicious. We went during the festive season, and the festivities were well planned and executed. The flow rate is so slow when i tried to use it once, and the water doesnt really get hot, it was at best mildly warm, even when the handle is turned to the full range. I had to boil water in the kettle three to four times and poured it into the tub to get the temperature to a decent bathing temperature. Friends of ours who went not long after opening have shared stories of monkeys at the resort, but we had no wildlife. When we asked, we were told that the reason was that one came with a special sauce, which was not the case because they were all identical. We were then told that the chef decided to throw more lobster in the 200 myr ones so they looked identical, which was strange because we didnt ask for it. When my husband brought it up at checkout, they told us that the price was based on the weight of each lobster, which was another explanation and made little sense. After that, they again told us the previous extra portioning reason. This was very strange. To us as customers, it looked like they just served us the same dishes, but charged us 200 myr for two of them and 620 myr for the third. I dont know what exactly this was about, but we paid for it anyway. Overall, a decent resort for a hasslefree getaway at a reasonable price.

I cant wait to return! This location is a true treasure for someone who travels a lot. Without this location, the desaru coast is nothing like it is. A place to behold, from the wonderful service to the delicious food to the opulent accommodations.

Hotel is stunning and immaculate. Secluded. To get to the neighborhood stores, you will need to drive, which is the one and only idea. To take a break from the stresses of daily life. Rooms we found that the arrangement of the rooms, especially if you have a toddler under 2 years old, is not very convenient. There isnt much of a sitting area or lounge in the main living area, where the bed is located. So, if you have a toddler, you should be encouraged to spend more time outside. The hotel amenities are firstrate. My son loved the kids play area center. The staff was welcoming from pick up to checkout, and the service was firstrate. Average food options were limited, and the taste was nothing to be proud of, especially considering the price. Beach is stunning. You are staying at a oneandonly resort, so it will be more on the larger side. Worth the money yes if youre on your honeymoon, as a couple, or traveling with a little older children.

I must visit this place once in your life, and it gets an 8 out of 10. I visited the dior pop up! There is a great atmosphere and vibe! Since a wellknown chef prepares the food, it was a little pricey, but it was still reasonably priced. The location is somewhat in the jungle, but its well worth it! You should wear shoes because you will have to walk on sand!.

Since i went there twice for the dioriviera event, i didnt stay at the hotel. What can i say about my first experience there? The food is excellent and of high quality, the staff is excellent, and the security is courteous and appropriate. The location where i was staying is like a private beach, making it an ideal spot for luxury vacations. There were two entrances, and i was unaware of the sign because it was too small to see, so it was initially difficult for me to follow the gps there. Im still unsure if it is the first gate the gps has shown as the hotels main entrance? However, the event is scheduled until august 6th.
