We just spent rm 89 each night via papplication. The first elevator in Kung is there. It was first opened to the public in 1965 and was only dedicated to the british army. The hotel's parking lot was a great place to stay away from the city. It has a big space and allows guests to take in the view of the majestic shooting lamb mountain. The décor in the style is English. You can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of a hotel with a parking lot if you are searching for a place to stay away from the city.

It's frustrating when we had to wait so long for the lift, we are struggling with our luggage, and when we asked for help, no one came, the elevator was a pain, the sensors were broken, and it took so long to arrive. It is good to be back on the road.

I think I got the room at a reasonable price. But reassure me that I'll always check the photo and details of the room before any booking, and it will regardless of the price. One room booked is not as decent as it appears on the booking website Papplication. Com. We got the est room and checked in, very dirty, and definitely not well maintained, hair on the bed, dusty bedside table, no closet and no hangers, no bedroom slippers or towels. I checked with the staff, they said some of the items were only available upon request and some did not come. Most interesting is that they said he doesn't know what the images show, what he is thinking about booking site. 3. I got the room changed. Looks better but below expectation for so-called three-star hotel according to booking site. large patch of water leaking marks on the ceiling, semi-broken window blinds, etc. 4 service level the guy works alone, all alone for the night. Well, doesn't seem too happy, but at least help change the room. Overall the hotel is a bit shabby. If you are looking for cheap room so long as there is a bed or cheap quality hotel rooms. My advice is to book twice. It all depends if you are looking for a cheap room so long as theres a bed or cheap quality hotel rooms.

The Merde hotel was opened in 1965 and sadly, it does appear to be that. What used to be a really attractive frontage is now covered by corrugated iron additions. The lobby is the only component in good condition. Our room had soiled walls and little water pressure at all. There was no shelf in the shower, so toiletries were on the other side of the bathroom above the sink. There was no towel rail, so the towel had to be stored on the door handle outside the bathroom. There was no lock on the bathroom door and no floor mat. Breakfast was so bland that we skipped breakfast at the train coffee. On the plus side. Plenty of free parking and reasonably priced wifi. There is no traffic noise if you have a room facing the hill. The rooms are not soundproof, so it is not accurate to say that it is quiet. If you get a cheap room, it's functional and fairly clean.

The hotel is very impressive, its close to the airport and with the lovely surroundings. The rooms are very simple with no wardrobe. This is our first time staying at this hotel. The room arrangement is very basic, no wardrobe and 2 hangers on a wall mounted hook, a small writing table and no overhead light, and a table lamp with a low water pressure. They have better facilities because the price is higher. Plus the parking area is also simple.

Don't judge a book with the cover. You might not look at hotel merdeka when you pass by it, but the interior, it's total contrast. Book this hotel for your next trip, you will enjoy it

Merdeka hotel carries a historic aura which can be found in its building, interior, staircase etc. Its elevator is the first in Kluang which signifies its traditional yet prestigious standard. A comfortable hotel and I would choose Merdeka Hotel again whenever I'm in Kluang.

We brought our suitcases and clothes on hangers there was no bell boy to help hotel staff said not enough staff...the trolley to carry suitcases and clothes on hangers the hotel doesn't have. Atlast.they guard help carry our bags

my second time stay at this hotel..no newspaper provided to room and breakfast is served ala carte whether nasi lemak or mee goreng..very different from the first experience staying at this hotel. the roof was leaking on the first floor stairs and uncomfortable for customers.

The place is quite rundown. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you have very low expectations. Even though mine are already low, a few things prevented me from getting a good night’s sleep: 1. A strong smell of dust and humidity 2. Old and noisy indoor and outdoor air-conditioning units, regardless of speed or settings 3. No soundproofing 4. No light blocking Other inconveniences: 1. No wardrobe 2. The shower is basically in the room, separated only by a glass wall

We booked 3 nights stay. For the price of rm200 per night, we expect the hotel to be better. - Wifi was not working. - Hotel carpet is so worn out and unpleasant to walk on. - Bed linen is not very clean. - Extra blanket and pillow are chargeable. - Hairdryer needs to be requested. The hotel has the first elevator since 1963 (or so). Old is fine as long it is functional. We pressed level 3, the lift went up and down and eventually we ended up back at ground floor reception area. Imagine being trapped inside.
