The pictures don’t do it justice you look out over the rice paddies and it’s breathtaking. You see eagles flying around and we saw Colugos flying tree to tree right by the pool. It is something very unique and beautiful. The homes are authentic and amazing but just know some are old and kept amazingly with upkeep but it does get humid in them even with AC but this is Malaysia.

A perfect end to our 5 weeks of travelling. A peaceful, scenic and relaxing stay with great hosts Gudrun and David. Although in a rural setting away from the maddening crowd it’s a short drive away to shops, beaches and restaurants. Grab cars are sometimes hard to get because of it’s isolated location so own transport would be an advantage. However just enjoying the surroundings in your own self contained cabin leaves little reason to venture out. Aircon is necessary in the Gate house as it doesn’t get the breeze the other cabins do.

私たちの旅行スタイル的に最高の宿泊ができました。場所は山の上、周囲には何もない静かな環境ですがレンタルバイク30分ほどでビーチに行けますし、道すがら立ち寄る超ローカルなレストランやカフェバーが何より楽しかった。 2泊予定でしたがパートナーも気に入ったので3泊。オーナーも素敵な方で気持ちの良い滞在ができました。このホテル泊まるためにまたランカウイ行きたいねって話してます。

Spent 3 nights at Sunset valley with wife and 2 children. The location is close to everything in Langkawi however you feel miles away from anywhere with the jungle and rice padi fields surroundings.

We had a such relaxing and fun stay at Sunset Valley. It's located at a really idyllic area. Good for people who like to be close to nature.The property has a really nice garden and breathtaking view of the valley and sunset we found ourselves spending quite a bit of time in, cooking by the pool, which was excellent overlooking a vast rice field. One afternoon we were watching sunset in the far end while swimming in the rain and admiring a double rainbow arching over the mountains behind the resort. The owner explained thoroughly how to use he resort, amenities that's available for free or for a fee, left us to give us privacy and was also always available when we needed them. I had some questions regarding getting around the property prior to our stay, Gudrun was always very prompt at responding to our queries. All the houses were spread out from each other, so everyone has a lot of privacy. A place we would go back to.

What an amazing place! This is the second time we have stayed here and it was even better than the first time 2 years ago. Gudrun and David have done an exceptional job of creating a beautiful comfortable set of bungalows whilst also staying sympathetic and authentic to Langkawi. It is so tranquil and we loved sitting on our private porch listening to and watching the incredible birds that fly through the garden - kingfishers, hornbills, orioles. We enjoyed lounging by the pool that overlooks the rice padi and we used the bbq pavillion by the pool one evening for our dinner, using food bought from the local supermarket and some of the supplies provided in the on-sight shop. I would recommend having a car here so that you have more freedom to explore. David and Gudrun are full of useful local information and helped book a mangrove tour for us. I have a feeling we will definitely be back and have already recommended it to a few friends.

Nice place to stay, surrounded by rice field, in a serene and nature environment. Friendly staffs and owner offer helps and guides. Nice pool overlooking rice field, definitely a place I can come back next trip.

We only stayed at the field house tonight and wish we could have remained more! Due to the houses location, it is a little far from any shops or highways so you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. The host was really welcoming and helpful, and what made everything even more perfect was the history behind the houses and how they were actual old structures brought to this space and restored by the hosts.

The location is very central: 15 minutes to chewing, 15 minutes to uah, 15 minutes to rhd but you feel at ease away from everything. The countryside is peaceful, with a great view of sunset over the paddy fields, and you can listen to birdsong all day long. We liked the pool verandah, which is very well equipped, has everything you need for a poolside bbd, including a fridge to keep your beers cold and a building bluetooth speaker system. The house itself was perfect for us, an open-concept restored old camping house with an open-concept kitchen that allows us to prepare our meals, and with a large verandah where you can work or just sit and enjoy the space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a private, relaxing, and spacious location. Because there are a few houses to choose from, I believe it's ideal for single families as well as larger groups. Thank you outrun, david, and catmandu for making us feel so at home. It was difficult to leave, but we know well to return.

A wonderful place to stay if you want peace and quiet in a genuine Malaysian environment. Resort management is friendly and helpful and well maintained. The location is so good that it is a short distance from beaches, many restaurants, and langkawis main tourist attractions but you can enjoy the peaceful view of rice paddies and amazing sunsets.

This place is highly suggested! A wonderful, calm place encircled by the jungle of the salesman, although it's a bit distant from Chiang Mai Beach. But once you see your villa, you won't mind at all. We enjoyed a great family time, the owner is so polite and knows how to treat guests. Thank you, Italian visitors!

The sunset valley houses are situated in the middle of Langkawi, between hills and rice fields, giving you a unique chance to stay secluded while still being able to access nearby neighborhoods, stores, mountains, and beaches within a few minutes of driving. All the houses are unique and constructed in a traditional malady manner. We stayed at the gate house, which has lovely wooden furnishings, high ceilings, a small kitchen, and fantastic water pressure in the shower! The sunset valley employees were extremely helpful, courteous, and organized. The owners, outrun and David, welcomed us to a very impressive property, where the homes are kept up to a high standard and the surrounding garden is meticulously maintained.
