This is a little gem on the seaside walk. Terrific breakfast and the staff were amazing. Also the quirky music collections were a nice added touch. The beds are a bit firm and it’s not a luxury hotel but the price reflects it. I would stay here again!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were basic, but comfortable. There was entertainment going on outside and it sounded like the person singing was in our room. The structure didn't block outside nose very well.

The staff were all nice and kind, very professional. The hotel was ok, lots of movie memorabilia. The restaurant next to the hotel serves good food. Area around the property is not pleasing, it's dirty and smells. The city is great, with lots of stores around. They should keep it cleaner, no littering. My room was small but overlooking the sea. Nice view from my room.

Das Elopura Hotel (Elopura = alter Name von Sandakan) war für uns ein ausserordentlich schönes Erlebnis! Das Hotel - gefüllt mit Sammelstücken aus der Filmwelt und Musik - hat einen besonderen Charme. Die Lage ist toll, gleich am Hafen. Besonders zu erwähne sind die superfreundlichen Mitarbeitenden! Zudem zaubert das zugehörige Restaurant Gerichte der Extraklasse aus der Küche! Besonders erwähnen möchten wir Jeff Andy von der Rezeption - super sympathisch und total hilfsbereit, Dani den F & B-Manager, der uns ganz toll betreut hat. Zudem hatten wir ein ganz flottes Zimmermädchen, dass uns immer mit einem Lächeln begegnet ist. Der Koch Aidil ging auch auf spezielle Wünsche ein! Hier fühlt man sich als Gast wirklich als König!

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung und sauber. Das wifi war erst Katastrophal und als ich mich beschwert habe, wurde es auf die Telekom vor Ort geschoben. Jedoch war es dann plötzlich seit diesem Abend um Welten besser ;) Das Frühstück war auch lecker, jedoch wurden leere Platten nicht nachgefüllt. Schade ist, dass die Mentalität der Menschen so über den dreck in Öffentlichkeit hinwegsieht. Das Meer wo man direkt drauf schaut ist voller Plastikmüll und keinen stört es oder keiner fühlt sich bemüßigt etwas aufzuräumen, das ist sehr traurig.

Good accommodation in Sandakan covering all necessities. Sandakan doesn’t have a lot to offer tourists other than being a stopping off hub but this hotel caters well to the needs of travellers and has everything you need for a comfortable stay

Hotel Review I recently stayed at Elopura Hotel and had a mixed experience. Despite being only three years old, the hotel looked quite dated and did not match the vibrant pictures shown online. The facilities, including the gym and furniture, appeared to be poorly maintained, which was disappointing. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortably hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. It's also important to note that parking is not guaranteed at this hotel, which can be a hassle for guests with cars. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which added a nice touch to my stay. The highlight for me was the stunning sunrise view in the morning - it was truly breathtaking. If you're not particularly interested in visiting the nearby wet market, I would recommend considering other areas, as there are many convenient options available for those with a car. Overall, I would suggest looking for other accommodations if you're seeking a more modern and comfortable experience.
