Charming clean rooms.

After koala lump, I landed directly in Siu with Air Asia and remained at this hotel for two nights. I paid for my stay, which cost just 43 euros all in total for two nights through a Dutch hotel booking site back home in Amsterdam before I left for the trip, and was genuinely pleased with my room and the paramount hotel overall. I had no issues whatsoever, other than the fact that one or two of the front desk employees might be shaved to brush up their spoken English to avoid any upcoming misunderstandings with the hotel guests, which is likely mostly a business-traveling hotel because there are apparently few tourists. However, the entire reception staff was mostly very kind and helpful during my stay. The simply wonderful river view from my room, as well as the numerous new developments right behind this hotel, with a number of trendy and hip eateries and cafes, were additional highlights for me. For inhouse guests without breakfast being included in the room rate, a delicious set breakfast both Eastern and Western can be ordered on the same morning in the cafe next to the reception for only 18 ringgit allen per person.

The location of the paramount hotel Siu on the outskirts of this little city's shopping and dining hub is about a minute's stroll from a canal. Even though the carpet needed a thorough vacuum, the rooms were clean. Apart from that, the bathroom was clean, despite a leak in one of the pipes. The personnel is incredibly courteous and eager to assist. The hotel's stunning view is what makes it stand out. If you are fortunate enough to book a room with a view of the racing river, you may get a good view of this enormous, historically and economically significant rivers. Rivers used to be the distant roads, and the racing was almost like a gigantic highway.

I stayed here twice for my workplace farewell dinner as well as my colleague's wedding, who this place is quite spacious albeit more expensive than your normal hotel like Lihua opposite the Rehang River. For me, the experience is good enough and the room is quite cozy, recommended if you don't want to live in rp.
