After returning from langkawi, I only stayed one night in George Town. Because the ferry terminal is only a 10 minute walk away, I decided to stay at the Victory Inn. The airport was the following morning, and the bus stop was just a 1 minute walk away. Small but tidy, the room was adequate, and the breakfast was delicious.

We made last-minute changes to our travel plans and booked this hotel the day before our arrival. Suki at the front desk was extremely friendly and gave us untold amounts of information about the local area and more. The rooms are basic, but to be fair when you are out all day, all you want is a shower, clean towels and a bed. The hotel is in a good area and close to many things!.

This is a 2 star hotel. People complaining about this and that get upgraded to more stars. My group and I stayed here for a few days and found it perfect. It is central, on the edge of small India. Ideally situated to use as a base to explore the rich and vibrant region which is frankly an assault on the senses. Back to the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and the air conditioning was excellent. The rooms are clean and simple. Yes, the breakfast choice is small, but again, 2 star. There are hundreds of places to eat right outside your door. Its cheap and ideal if you pass through a beautiful city. All is well at the Victoria Inn.

Well located hotel with nice room in central Penang. Clean and peaceful to sleep. Some issues at checkin (AC control and taxes payment), but sorted out quickly. Overall a solid place to stay.
