Really liked our stay at Star Shell. The staff are excellent and super helpful. We were travelling with two young kids and honestly their service and friendliness really made our trip so much easier. We were always helped with our luggage without asking and with no expectation of a tip. I would highly recommend using theit airport service. The room was excellent and surprisingly modern and spacious. With an integrated rollaway bed, it was enough for the 4 of us. Very good location too, the beach is a 2 min walk and lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby, many of which are open till late. Some small improvements that could be made. The bathroom needs a vent fan as it gets quite warm and can’t leave the window open overnight due to the main road outside. AC wasn’t on before we came into the room so it was quite warm. However overall a great hotel and we will definitely be staying here again!

Kaikki toimi kuten pitää. Puhdas huone ja hyvä lokaatio. Bussilla pääsee suoraan lentokentälle ja takaisin ja vielä moottoripyörä taksilla nopeasti ja halvalla. Harmi ettei kukaan hotellin henkilökunnasta osaa puhua suomea tai ruotsia.

Todo perfecto. Muy limpio, el personal muy amable y colaborador, con bar/restaurante y buena ubicación. Tanto si estás de paso como para varios días es perfecto. Traslados al aeropuerto. Como entrada o salida del país es muy conveniente porque se encuentra justo al principio de la isla, a menos de diez minutos del aeropuerto. Tiene cerca tiendas de comestibles, lugares para comer y a un minuto de la playa. La habitación muy limpia y cómoda. TV Plana con canales internacionales, camada cómoda y grande, baño completo con gel y champú, mucho espacio para guardar la ropa y pertenencias, nevera con minibar, café y te con hervidor y agua gratis, aire acondicionado y ventilador, cortinas opacas; en definitiva todo un acierto. Lo recomiendo y cuando vuelva a pasar por aquí repetiré seguro.

Can't say much about the hotel because we didn't end up staying there since there was a bit of a mix up of over-booking so Ayesha (I think that was her name) booked us into another hotel for the night. She picked us up from the airport to drop us off ensuring that we had breakfast organised and called to confirm pickup in the morning as well. The service is seriously above and beyond amazing. We didn't hear very good reviews about staying on the mainland before going to a resort but I would definitely recommend Ayesha and Star Shell.

The good 1. The staff is helpful, friendly, and joking, the majority of them are young boys who are good at their job 2. The hotel's location in Ulhumale is excellent, with a beach right behind the hotel within walking distance, eateries, money exchanges, stores, and other places close by, and a taxi 24 I 7 from the main road. 3. The kitchen, reception, and cafeteria. Squeaky clean, well maintained elevator and steps. 1. The room size is reasonably modest, it's a good hotel for 12 nights, but you cannot spend your entire vacation here without compromises 2. We remained for two nights, and despite asking, housekeeping was not provided on day 3 and on the same bed. The breakfast is not for everyone, it's not a buffet, instead, they serve continental breakfast. The bathroom door is opaque. You can ask them to prepare egg omelet, scrambled, sunny side up, and many times our head banged the halfcurtain, one of the strangest arrangements I have seen anywhere, they should have provided an opaque door, simple. It can be a dealbreaker because most of us would not buy a sim in the Maldives and rely on hotel wifi. The hotel only offered a WiFi password for one device per room per day, and the speed was awful there. We

The staff was very helpful in many areas. They arranged check-in and check-out, transportation to the airport, and all our requests. The facilities in the room were adequate, and the room was spacious and quiet.

Had a good experience, staff was nice but not local. Hotel is clean near the beach also near most of the shops. Small rooms are noisy when you have neighbors near by rooms. Other than that everything is fine.

The positives are the helpful, eager, and cheerful personnel, most of which are young boys but excellent at their work. The location is excellent in Hulhumale, the beach is within walking distance of the hotel, and there are restaurants, money exchanges, shops, and other amenities close by. The main road is accessible by taxi 24 I 7, and the elevator and stairs were spotless and wellkept. The usual, the room size is relatively modest, and it is a decent hotel for 12 nights, but you are unable to experience your entire trip here without making any compromises. We spent two nights and, despite our request, the cleaning wasn't available for both day three and the third, and it was noisy because ours was a room opposite the road, so it was a little noisy. You can request a room a little distant from the main road for brunch, which is not a buffet, with cut fruits, a glass of juice, butter, toast, and egg. The bathroom door was the strangest, it was so unusable that I frequently slammed against the half curtain. One of the strangest arrangements I've seen anywhere, they should have provided an opaque door, simple. It can be a dealbreaker because the majority of us would not purchase a sim in the Maldives without relying on hotel WiFi. Every day,
