I should've been did this review in Sept 2021 when went for our honeymoon Rm 262. I seem to can't get this place out of my head and want to go back. Hands down from beginning to end, the staff met every need and made sure we were good. They were excellent! Very welcoming and friendly. The food was really good and our over water villa was beautiful. I heard they are doing some renovations. When it's complete we will definitely revisit.

I do not usually write reviews however Veligandu is an absolute gem! The island is breathtaking, the staff and service feels so personalised, the food is amazing and the weather unbelievable! My girlfriend and I are talking about our stay everyday since we got back. The island has everything to offer, we had quite relaxed days on the beach, incredible snorkelling with turtles and reef sharks to great party nights at the hotels bar. We cannot wait to go back next year although we will have to wait until after the renovations.

Truly a paradise. My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and it was perfect. Staff as amazing, plenty to do, and very relaxing. Highly recommend!

I love this resort. Worth the 18 hr flight from Toronto. Seaplane transfer was hassle-free. I booked an over the water villa (with a hot tub with a view of the ocean), full board (3 meals at buffet), no alcohol or drinks (except for coffee and whatever juice they have at the time). Each mango juice costed me $4 US a pop. Items in mini bar not included. Items, like souvenirs, you buy get charged to the room. I loved the over the water villa. So private and there were stairs out to the water (low tide in the am, high in the pm). There were crabs all the time on the deck (one and a couple on the steps). They try to avoid you. Transformer was provided, AC, TV. Far walk but it's what you get if you want seclusion. Island is so small though (love it). Food at Dhonveli and wi-fi were great. I really only need those two things to be happy. I didn't see too much seafood, but I don't like those anyway. From your deck, you can snorkel and see plenty of different varities of fish. Saw a shark and a couple of sting rays from my deck. Staff is warm and helpful. I travelled on my own and felt really safe. I could leave my phone/wallet at my table with no concerns at Dhonveli. Resort-specific stuff: Bring your own plastic bag for wet clothes. Resort tries to be environmentally conscious so no plastic bags available. Don't bring shoes you don't want to get sand in. I had a really special experience and plan on going back next year but maybe in April instead of May.

Wow, we went here for our 30th anniversary and we were not disappointed! Veligandu is absolutely amazing. The word paradise is often over used, but it is a truly fitting description. Everything was perfect; the staff, the services, the amenities, the facilities, the food, the atmosphere and the romance. It is a picture right out of a travel magazine. We can not say enough good things. If you are reading this, don't hesitate, book today. I promise you will not regret it!

A fabulous resort what more could you ask for in a vacation! Overwater bungalow, fantastic reef full of fish and coral made for great snorkeling and scuba diving. Good food and drinks! This resort sets the standard for a great Maldives vacation. From the moment we landed the staff were so kind and helpful I have nothing but good things to say about Veligandu Island Resort.

O hotel é sensacional em todos os sentidos. Ficamos 6 dias em sistema all inclusive e todos os dias as refeições eram diferentes e muito boas. Ficamos no bangalôs sobre a água com vista para o por do sol e foi maravilhoso, acordar com vista para aquele mar é inesquecível. Os funcionários todos prestativos, com arrumação de quarto de manhã e de noite antes de dormir. A vida marinha é muito rica, vimos tubarões, arraias, tartarugas passando em frente ao bangalô. An unforgettable vacation! A great island with all the amenities for a great holiday. Courteous and helpful staff. Well organized transfer from Valena airport. Cleanliness, comfort, entertainment are all top notch. A rich selection of delicious dishes. Interesting entertaining evening activities. Every minute of our stay was wonderful! Also a pleasant surprise was organized for us on the anniversary. House reef was rich of corales and fishes (including sharks, turtles, murenas and many vore other). Thanks to all staff of the Resort! Special thanks the Oceanic Dive Center! Paradis sur terre ! Je ne peux pas décrire à quel point c’est magnifique ! C’était ma première fois aux maldive et je pense j’ai trouvé mon hôtel, service au top, le personnel très très serviable ! Je veux mentionner Imran qui a été la personne grâce à qui mon séjour a été encore plus magnifique, je veux lui remercier personnellement. Il m’a fait découvrir la vie sous marine de maldive La nourriture au top .. j’ai pu voir des tortues requins tout … la plage est magnifique et rien à dire pour la propreté ! Lugar incrível, natureza deslumbrante .. vale cada segundo. Recomendo o all inclusive .. mesmo não bebendo, os valores das bebidas, sucos e refrigerantes fica caro para os brasileiros. Portanto mesmo as pessoas que não bebem, compensa pegar o all-inclusive, que contempla além da alimentação as atividades e passeios, como mergulho e outros. Tbem vale a pena reservar parte da estadia nos quartos mais baratos e fazer upgrade no próprio hotel, que sai um preço diferenciado. Importantíssimo. 5 diárias é mais que suficiente .. peguei 7 dias, e já estava entediado.

This place is PERFECT!!! Beautiful, peaceful, the perfect vacation. The food is excellent, and you can't beat the incredible snorkeling on the house reef. The best snorkeling we saw in the Maldives, right there on our own resort!
