l Nido is a magical little sanctuary on the peaceful end of Holbox — the kind of place that makes you accidentally start browsing “how to move to Mexico permanently” listings after day two. 🌴✨ Alberto, Omar, and the entire staff make you feel genuinely at home from the moment you arrive. Warm, welcoming, helpful, and somehow always calm no matter how many sandy, tourists are wandering around asking for another taxi or more ice. 😂 The highlights: ☀️ Gorgeous pool + hammock area that feels like a hidden jungle oasis 🌿 Beautifully designed rooms with excellent AC and seriously comfy beds 🚲 Super easy to arrange taxis, bike rentals, and tours 🌺 Lush gardens everywhere that make the whole property feel peaceful and chic 🌅 Perfect location near the island’s best sunsets, flamingos, and quieter beaches — while still only about a 10-minute bike ride into town A couple things to note: 🧊 No mini fridge or ice machine on-site, so you may become emotionally attached to asking staff for ice multiple times a day 🍳 Breakfast is good, fresh, and included — though it does become a tinch repetitive If you want loud beach clubs and chaos, stay in town. If you want peaceful mornings, beautiful design, amazing staff, and the feeling that your nervous system just got a factory reset… El Nido is absolutely your spot. 💛

Insgesamt wunderbar, atemberaubender Garten mit Pool, die Kombination von Waschbetton und Holz im Zimmer, das kleine aber sehr feine und sättigende Frühstück. Frisch zubereitete Pasta auf Wunsch. Köstlich. Etwas ausserhalb aber wunderschön gelegen beim traumhaften Naturstrand im Schutzgebiet. Restaurants etc Fussläufig erreichbar, nach Holbox selber möglichkeit mit Velo (im Hotel zu mieten) oder zu Fuss gut machbar.

If you want to relax, just book this amazing unique boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive you can switch off and enjoy the hospitality of Alberto and Dani. If you want a big, corporate, soulless hotel, keep on looking and go elsewhere. The rooms and outside space join seamlessly and you are at one with the nature that lives there. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to the town centre, or you can grab an easily arranged taxi, that will take 5/10 mins. There is a small shop less than 5 mins walk from El Nido and there are good restaurants about 15 mins walk away Alberto makes amazing fresh pasta meals daily that you can grab for lunch of evening meal, along with a wine or beer. The hosts are great for asking for recommendations and bikes are available to hire to explore further. We would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to get away from it all. We stayed 14 nights and could of stayed another 14!

Walking distance from the beach (great sunset), this secluded, well designed and well kept little hotel is the best to relax and enjoy a serene stay. Good choice of background music throughout the day, comfortable rooms, awesome pool, great service by attentive and warm and welcoming staff. You don't pick this place if you want to be near everything. You choose this place because you like a harmonious and tranquil environment after a day of activities. Walking to the main part of the town is 30 minutes, which can be done walking on the beach at low tide, it is awesome. You can also bike if you want to get anywhere faster, but what is a vacation if not taking your time to discover?

Es ideal para estar aislados y disfrutar del silencio, proporcionan un buen servicio, son muy amables y se siente la calidez por parte del equipo. Las instalaciones están muy bonitas, desde la decoración de la recepción, hasta la habitación, sin mencionar la piscina. Vale la pena quedarse más de una noche para disfrutar de la zona y descansar

If you don't want to be near the centre, this is perfect. The manager is exceptional - and works long hours (but there isn't a permanently manned reception, so service may not be available promptly). Rooms are basic - no fridge, would have liked a filtered water dispenser in the hotel and I had to move to have a room with a desk and chair (not all have them). I can't fault the service or cleanliness. You can see the sea - on the horizon, between buildings- but it isn't on the beach.

Wat. Een. Hotel. Prachtig! Het is er muisstil, je kan genieten van de rust aan het zalige zwembad. De ligging aan Punta Cocos is perfect! Als we 6 sterren konden geven, zouden we het doen. Grazie mille amico!

Este hotel es un oasis de tranquilidad y está a unos pasos de una playa paradisiaca. La atención del personal es cálida, las habitaciones sencillas pero modernas, ideales para desconectarte. El hotel ofrece un desayuno de cortesía (café, fruta, galletas) que puede complementarse con opciones a la carta, todo muy rico!. Está lejos del centro de Holbox, pero a distancia caminable hay una pizzeria deliciosa y tienda de conveniencia. Súper recomendable!

Personnel aux petits soins notamment Brandon qui a été d’une gentillesse et bienveillance incroyables. L’hôtel est à 15 minutes à pieds du centre mais à proximité de plusieurs plages désertes. Ideal pour se déconnecter complètement. Seule petite remarque pour améliorer le confort : rajouter des rideaux occultants car le soleil se lève tôt et difficile de prolonger son sommeil si on est sensibles à la lumière. Pour le reste, le séjour a été parfait ! Merci

Il proprietario è amichevole, flessibile e attento ai dettagli. La proprietà è ben tenuta, con un design studiato nei minimi dettagli e una piscina meravigliosa e rilassante. Abbiamo apprezzato l'esperienza e consigliamo vivamente l'Hotel El Nido a chi è alla ricerca di un posto tranquillo e rilassante sull'Isla Holbox.
