This hotel was created for mexican vacationers who are not frequently visited by international tourists. During the off season, there were a few people staying. The large pool was comfortable thanks to the wonderful weather. I stayed one night in a self-catering apartment. The hotel is situated overlooking the sea, which was a bit stormy later in the evening. I enjoyed a margarita while observing the stormy sea. This is an experience unlike any other in Mexico.

You will experience what appeared to be at least a few decades of economic decline when you arrive in Costa Esmeralda. Many resorts along the Playa are unused and in disrepair. The grounds of the Canadian resort are relatively well-kept, and our rooms were spotless. Compared to other much bigger resorts not close by, I loved how it looked very nice. The toucan eatery had outstanding food, and the personnel was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We had some extremely specific demands some of which required obtaining supplies off the site, but we were able to return them right away. If you need recreation activities that range from tourism activities, pristine beaches, etc., there isn't a lot to do. Although the resort's immediate vicinity is a great spot to unwind. At no time did I feel unsafe or otherwise dangerous. If you plan to visit El Tik or any of the many nearby fishing communities, the regional bus system is very simple to navigate and inexpensive. Some may find this irritating, but having access in the lobby only helped to free my mind from wandering back to real life and from unwinding in the sun.
