The room is really spacious and cozy and is really comfortable. The location is perfect, all restaurants, galleries and iconic places are walking distance. Our stay there was lovely.

The property was near the Centro about 10=15 minute walk and near lots of eateries. The staff was great and our rooms where every roomy and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Notre séjour à Oaxaca laisse un sentiment partagé. Voici les points cruciaux à connaître avant de réserver : Logistique et Arrivée : L'hôtel n'a aucune réception physique. Tout se gère par téléphone ou via un portail en ligne (pré-enregistrement avec dépôt de garantie de 250$ ou frais non remboursables). Attention : l'enseigne "Casa Lumos" est absente de la façade, cherchez le nom "HOLT" pour trouver l'entrée. Problème de la Chambre 1 : Nous déconseillons fortement cette chambre. Située en bout de couloir, elle subit de plein fouet les bruits de la rue. Plus grave : son patio privé est accessible au personnel (accès aux toilettes de service) et aux autres clients via une porte non verrouillée. Nous avons été surpris par des intrusions visuelles à deux reprises dès le réveil. Pour préserver notre intimité, nous avons dû laisser les rideaux fermés en permanence. Nuisances sonores : La sonnette extérieure est une source de stress. Sans réception, les nouveaux arrivants sonnent à toute heure (parfois à 3h du matin). De plus, le système de verrouillage de la porte principale est perfectible : un client peut accidentellement bloquer l'accès aux autres. Les points positifs : L'emplacement est excellent, proche de tout et à 20 min de l'aéroport. Les autres chambres (visitées via d'autres clients) semblaient charmantes et mieux isolées. Verdict : Un établissement au fort potentiel, mais la Chambre 1 présente de graves manquements à l'intimité qui doivent être corrigés.

Our experience at Casa Lumos was extremely disappointing. There is no reception; you receive your room number and access codes via message beforehand. We even received our room number two hours before arrival. However, when we entered the room, to our shock, other guests were already staying there. They told us they had booked the same room. We then had to go back downstairs with all our luggage and spent quite some time calling and messaging to figure out what was going on. Eventually, after reaching a call center agent, we were assigned a different room — on the ground floor, which we would not have chosen. The new room was small, the bathroom extremely tiny, and the toilet was practically inside the shower. No apology, no compensation — despite clearly renting out the same room twice. Because of this experience, we strongly advise against staying here. It is overpriced and underwhelming. Pay a bit more elsewhere in the hope of receiving proper service and basic professionalism. This situation was simply bizarre.
