Great experience!! The only reason I can think of that separates this property from a 4.5 to a 5 star hotel must be that it is a partial hotel and partial timeshare split.

Property was lovely. Restaurants very nice but also very expensive. Beach is nice but no good for swimming, also my partner got stung by a jelly fish while dipping her toes in the waves! Adult pools were great. Never actually made it to the swim up bar as it was in full sun all day. Could use some shade there. One issue was that we paid for a 'partial pool view' and got fobbed off with a room right next to the main road. The front desk tried to charge us an upgrade fee for a view room. We complained and got moved to a way better room overlooking the pool. Uber into San Jose town is cheap and fast.

Great hotel with beautiful amenities. The housekeeping was incredible. Lucia texted us every day to coordinate the room cleaning. The room was immaculate every time. Food was awesome and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. A Plus!!

Will 100% be back. This pool was one of the best we’ve ever been to. The staff was so attentive and friendly! The decor is so beautiful- only downside is the food at the restaurant was silly expensive (like $150 for 2 people for breakfast!) so I’d say there’s a good coffee shop across the street! But the amenities are amazing! Clean and big villa rooms (stayed in a 1BR villa room).

My husband and I stayed 7 nights at the end of April. The hotel was very clean, the rooms big and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and always easy to find a lounge chair. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food by the pool was great. We loved how close we were to the town and could Uber for a few dollars to go have dinner or go shopping. Will definitely be back! We were asked at check in if we wanted to attend a time share meeting but after saying no, we were never bothered again.

We have stayed here many times. Service was great when we first stayed many years ago and then it declined, last year I debated whether to come back. This year I can say that the service was very much improved. They now have an 18% service charge added to all food and beverage orders and maybe that is part of how they have retained a better staff but in any event it was much improved over the past few years and I am OK with the built in service charge if that's what fixed it. The facility has always been great, glad the service is back on track.

We had a very relaxing four night stay mostly just hanging out at the pool. We appreciated that it was pretty easy to distance from louder people / pool bar area as desired. The pool staff were amazing. The prices of all food and drinks on property are quite absurd ($25 margaritas and $10 Pacificos - USD), but it is also easy to get off property for more reasonable tourist-oriented food/drinks or even better, hole in the wall Mexican joints where you could spend $10 or so on a big breakfast for two. Room was comfortable, and I appreciated the full coffee maker and fridge. Be aware that the hotel tries to "forbid" you from taking ubers, so we just walked outside the gate to catch ours, and we got dropped off just outside the gate. Overall a great experience aligned to what we wanted - total ease and relaxation.

We had a fantastic time at this resort. The place is immaculate, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. However, the restaurants could use some improvement. The food is decent, but it doesn’t quite live up to the high expectations. The drinks need some work, especially since Mexico is known for its excellent margaritas. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely return to this property and highly recommend it.
