If you wanted to sit by the pool, you had to be out at 7:30 in the morning to mark your chair with the flags provided to you by the facility. Trying to get beach chairs and poolside chairs was very difficult. People would mark the chairs at 7:30 in the morning and wouldn’t even come use them till afternoon.

The beach is beautiful, the resort is very clean and the food and drinks are good. This is our 4th time at the Royal Sands. I hope to go back next year.

Cannot think of one bad thing about this resort! (Ok, if I had to be picky, the linens and pillows weren’t the best and the time share concierge was a little pushy but)…overall this was a pretty perfect stay. It is large, immaculately clean, the main pool is HUGE…. And the food was so much better than I thought it would be! Seriously some good eats… the sushi, breakfast and fish tacos were delicious and so was Hacienda Sisal. Service was great too… every day our room was cleaned and we had new bottles of water. We had so much fun. Hope to be back!!!!

This our fourth year visiting this property and the staff are amazing, the property is kept incredibly clean and the rooms are spacious and very sound proof. Samuel at the bistro restaurant, the hostesses at the Veranda restaurant, Damian at the pool bar, and all of the housekeeping staff are exceptional, long term employees who are so caring and wonderful. Our kids adored going to the kids club, even though they are older - the staff were so lovely and they always had fun activities happening. We had a beachfront suite and it was ahhhhmazing. The view and central location between the two pools was perfect. The beach is stunning, but the ocean is pretty wild here and not safe for extensive swimming, but perfect for jumping in the waves and building sandcastles. The lifeguards are highly attentive but most days the ocean was red-flagged and not safe for swimming due to the riptides/undercurrent. The hotel is lovely and amazing, we can’t recommend it enough.

This resort is not new and some of the decor is quite dated, but it is very well maintained and the service was excellent all around. The rooms were also fantastic. We are a family of four with two teenagers and it made all the difference for htem to have their own beds (and the Murphy beds are of good size and quite comfortable). Special shout out to Amanda at the front desk for her attention. And to the Margaritas, which were delicious!

The Royal Sands Cancun is a beautiful resort. We enjoyed both pool areas and the beach. You’re given flags for beach or pool chairs. Those go very early in the morning and we opted for the beach instead. The food was very good. I recommend making sure you call at 8 AM to make your reservations as we didn’t get to make reservations, one of the nights as it was full. The service was wonderful. From poolside to the restaurants, it was by far the most outstanding at the resort. Our room was kept very clean. They had a nice list of fun drinks, alcoholic, and mock tails. We took our two daughters with us age 9 and 12 and they had such a great time. They offer different activities throughout the day to do together.
