Hotel incroyable !!!! Il est tout simplement magnifique . Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorés avec goût !!! Deux très très belles piscines À 20 min du site de Calakmul. Nous avons également manger au restaurant deux soirs et c’est très bon ! Je vous recommande cet hôtel à 1000% vous serez pas déçu !

We had an amazing experience taking the "Tren Maya" and staying at the "Mundo Maya Hotel, Calakmul". The train was comfortable and efficient, the staff was so kind and helpful. The transport from the train station to the hotel was also very good (at an additional cost). The hotel building is a little plain from the outside but the minute you step inside the open air lobby you feel the magic of the jungle. The tropical modern decor catches the cool breezes and comfortable seating abounds. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is attentive, knowledgable and personable. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable.The menu had a reasonable selection and the food was surprisingly good. There is room for minor improvement. The English translation of the menu is full of errors.There should be proper pictures of the amenities (pool, shop, gym) in the elevator not little cards taped below the buttons. The hotel shop had a poor selection of merchandise which was badly displayed. TheTV should have a channel dedicated to info about the property including room service options, tours and even info regarding other Mundo Maya properties. But....the beauty of the property and the warmth of the staff more than made up for any minor inconvenience.

Hôtel idéalement situé pour visiter le site de Calakmul. L’hôtel est très beau, les chambres modernes et bien équipées. Je regrette un peu l’absence de lit bébé et l’insonorisation de la chambre.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Many spoke english. The meals were delicious. A glass of wine was overpriced and they did not have decafinated coffee until the last day we were there.

New facility built with 2024. All employees, concierge, restaurant staff and housekeepers friendly. Calakmul is isolated and the archeological site is the only activity outside of the hotel but a must see. Three main pyramids that are climbable. Once on the top the view of the rainforest is impressive. We saw a family of spider monkeys and the howling monkeys. It was breath taking. Not a commercialized site with no vendors so you must take water with you.

The staff is very nice. The food on the restaurant wasn't really good. I think is better to eat before to get to the hotel. The room was clean and it was a great place to start Calakmul early.
