Beautiful small boutique hotel in a perfect location right off the hustle and bustle of Playa Norte and 2 blocks from Hidalgo. Ground floor King rooms walk right out to the pool and the beach. Private cove and the most incredible sunrises. No frills as far as amenities, no restaurant on site, but easy to get food delivered, there is a small pool bar. Staff was helpful, rooms were clean. Overall great, quiet, relaxing experience.

Just want everyone to know not to listen to any of these negitive review about media luna!! Just got home from staying there for a week and it was just what we were lioking for! Ive seen reviews about unfriendly staff or lack of staff. Ive seen things about the beds or the water presure. We went with a group of 8 staying at luna and only 1 had anything bad to say because they had a bunch of sand flees atack sum sweaty hats but the staff was helpfull and moved them into another room. I did see a few ants in the bathroom of my room but i killed them and never saw any again! There was someone at the front desk anytime we passed! The bar tender was at the pool everyday and he was great very helpfull made great fresh drinks would order food delivery for you or anything else u needed! They had kids cleqning the pool area sweeping and moping every morning! We staying in a jacuzzi king and they cleaned our room and left fresh towels every day even making towel animals on our bed!The water presure would hurt your sumburn it was so good! Bed was comfy, The View was worth every penny!! And the location is perfect! Close to town but secluded enought for peace and quiet!! And the best part you pass all the good food carts on the way to the All in all i would 100% recommend this great affordable hotel to anyone! Its obvious after our stay that the negative reviews were mostly from karens that are 2 needy and want a resort not a hotel!! playa media luna is great we will be back!!!!

Great hotel overall. Well maintained, great location. Nice relaxing place. Not a lot of amenities but if you’re looking for a great quiet location this is it. Only a short beach walk to Playa Norte. Staff weren’t overly friendly but we had no issues with anything so didn’t have the need for much interaction

No entiendo los comentarios negativos sobre este hotel, he viajado muchas veces a la riviera maya y definitivamente fue de los mejores lugares donde me he hospedado, es un hotel chico con 3 albercas, camastros, zonas de descanzo, el chico del bar es muy amable, en general se descansa muy bien, es muy tranquilo, el check in y el check out fueron muy rapidos, se tiene que dejar un deposito de daños de 2000 pesos, hay puestos de comida en los alrededores de la oficina de correo, donde puedes comer y cenar barato, o puedes irte caminando a la calle hidago, queda todo muy cerca, definitivamente volveremos.

Everything was wonderful! Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and they do have a hairdryer, it wasn’t mentioned! The hotel is set back on a promontory so it was quiet and relaxing. The pool (s) overlooks a lovely seascape, although a short stroll to the left would take you to North Beach for better swimming. A five minute walk out the front door would put you on the main strip for food and entertainment. Live music and street performances were ongoing nightly. Five minutes to the left of the hotel is a nice bike path skirting the ocean. Bikes can be rented for about $12.00 for the day. It’s a little interrupted but we rode al the way to Punta Sur.

La playa es simplemente espectacular: amplia, limpia y perfecta para relajarse. El personal es extremadamente amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar; el servicio está atento y listo en todo momento. Los precios son razonables para la calidad de la experiencia que ofrecen, lo cual se agradece mucho. Sin duda es un lugar al que volvería definitivamente y que recomiendo sin dudar. Si quieres, puedo hacerlo más corto, más entusiasta o más formal, según el estilo que prefieras.

Very clean room and nice boutique hotel on the east side of the island. Right on the beach. The water here is not suitable for swimming. But the water is so nice with lots fish in it. We stayed for 4 nights here. Can’t recommend it more. We initially wanted to stay on the strip or playa Norte. Very glad we didn’t. It’s away from the party crowed at night for a good night sleep. My boyfriend did fell asleep on the chair outside the balcony and got so many bite. So if you want to sleep on the balcony. Make sure you spray with bug bites spray first.

My wife and I have traveled around the world. This hotel is without a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It is heaven on earth. If you go to Isla and want peace and quiet plus being near town you have to stay here. The owners own restaurants on Isla which are great! Lily at Ballyhoo Blue was such a great hostess and the food and location were exceptional!! Prove me wrong!!! You can’t!!! Will be back soon!!

Always a great time. Franco at the pool bar was great, location is great. Lots of mosquitos this time but who can control them? Room was clean and cool. Only one English Channel on the TV but you are in Mexico. Pool is clean, lobby was nice and Christmas feeling.
