The restaurants on the property felt like higher end restaurants the services starting from the buffet to the restaurants with excellent. The rooms are very spacious and a lot of pools to hang out at.

This is a fantastic property, if you’re going with kids. My wife and I have traveled all over the world, and like to stay at all-inclusive resorts when we can. This is firmly in the “with your kids” camp. It’s a great value, with decent food, plenty of space for pools, and a large beach. When we visited the Jalisco resort next-door, a Riu sister resort, we realized how much better the food quality was. Next time we go without kids, we’ll pick Jalisco. But with kids, this resort was great!

The Riu Vallarta is a very nice resort in a very safe area. All vehicles have to stop at a checkpoint before entering the Flamingos area of resorts. The food in the buffet and all of the restaurants is very tasty. We liked the Italian and Kulinarium restaurants the best. There is only one bar for the beach and pools area. There was almost always a line of people waiting to order their drinks there, but it only took a couple of minutes to get drinks since they always had three or four bartenders on hand. There were also two drink carts that would travel around the four pools offering a selection of drinks that were mixed to your liking. Unfortunately, you could only get beer by waiting in line at the pool bar. There was very limited drink service on the beach, you were better off getting up to get your own drinks. The room was very nice, very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly. We had a nice balcony with a beautiful view.

My only complaint is my room was not refilled with bottled water. The sign on the mini bar said it was restocked every 2nd day, on day 4 I had to call and ask for it.

Our room was very clean. When the housekeeper came to clean, room they cleaned the room very well. The staff at restaurants were all on top of their game hotel receptionist was very nice. the front door guys were my favorite you can tell they love her job when we needed to go some were, they made sure we all set to go. Definitely going back again.
