Royal Hideaway Playacar exceeded all of our expectations. The resort is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds and an elegant atmosphere throughout. We had an amazing stay from start to finish. The restaurants were excellent, offering high-quality food and great variety. Our room was charming, stylish, and very comfortable, with strong air conditioning that kept it cool even during the hottest days. Very clean. One thing we especially appreciated was how safe and secure the resort felt. We were comfortable walking around the property at all hours and felt completely at ease throughout our stay. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every team member we encountered was attentive, kind, friendly, and highly professional. Their exceptional service made us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout our vacation. An outstanding resort in every way. We would gladly return and highly recommend Royal Hideaway Playacar to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and safe getaway.

Everything was perfect! Just one small detail: the breakfast and lunch buffets lacked variety, and they were being served in a small restaurant by the beach. I’m guessing this was because the resort was not at full occupancy.

This resort deserves 5 stars - 99.9% of those 5 stars come from their wonderful staff onsite. Everyone was so kind and respectful. One night, my girlfriend was feeling a little lightheaded and abruptly got up from our table to go get some air outside. When she did that, several members of the staff were quick to intervene and check on her/us. Even though my girlfriend was ultimately okay and nothing serious happened, the level of attention and care everyone provided really meant a lot to me. You could tell that concern came from a place of genuine pride in the work they do, not just out of obligation because their job requires it. Very neat and well-kept grounds. The groundskeepers also place a lot of attention on cleaning the beaches during high sargassum periods, which is nice in case you plan on swimming at the beach, not just the pool Inclusive room service was great - never waited more than a half hour to have breakfast, lunch, and/or late bites delivered to the room. Bathroom amenities were good quality (L'Occitane de Provence), Bed sheets and linens were also changed out daily, just make sure you request that on check-in if you prefer. My only piece of constructive feedback is to put more attention into the "formal" restaurants and the food that's offered. I think a little too much emphasis is placed on presentation versus quality and taste. The non-formal restaurants and room service menu options were significantly more tasty. Other than that, everything was great!

Staff and facility was amazing. Felt the food lacked a little but they were excellent for dietary restrictions such as gluten. My wife being gluten free was accommodated at every restaurant.

This resort is the ideal place for a honeymoon. From the moment you get out of the cab you are greeted and treated like you’re the most important person there. The staff was amazing throughout our stay and our concierge Armando was on top of everything we could want and need before we could think it ourselves. We made our reservation a week out and ate at every single restaurant we wanted to. Each restaurant had amazing views and vibes to match the theme of the restaurant. Breakfast on the deck every morning was the highlight of the day. You’re just meters away from the beach and the views and breeze to start your day along with some great fruit and breakfast, was picturesque. The treatment we received at our Bali bed was unbelievable, having a beach day where you don’t have to move and can just be taken care of was top tier. I would come back to this resort in a heartbeat. What a class organization and well run resort. Hassle free and took care of every one of our last needs. The rooms do run hot but you’re in the jungle so what can you expect. The property was also very well manicured and maintained.
