this property was so pretty! We came here on a girls trip. Six of us in our group. We had rooms facing the pool and ocean. The balconies were awesome for morning coffee and reading. The views were amazing everywhere you went. The beach in front of the property is not swimmable… We did not mind because we are not people who love going in the ocean anyway. We felt like the food choices were not that great here. The breakfast buffet was ok. Also after going to different resorts and also cruise ships, it seemed like the staff here was a little more reserved… They weren't as fun as other places. However, Norma at the pool was so great and fun! A few others too but the wait staff in the restaurants didn't seem to enjoy being there. Location is unbeatable in cabo! With all that being said, I still can't give the resort any less than five stars because it was absolutely gorgeous and we had an amazing time! Thank you!

The property is absolutely spectacular. We had a junior ocean view suite. Spacious room. Beautiful view. Very clean. The food was good overall, some things being better than others. But we definitely did not go hungry. NOTE: if you’re going to order a steak, order it two levels lower than what you like to get close to your preferred cooked level. For example, I like medium to medium rare, so I ordered rare. The best steak was at the torture cantina in the beach. I had the top sirloin with potato wedges and veggies and ordered it rare. It was mediums and REALLY good! Easy walk to the marina and downtown. Be prepared - the locals are gonna swarm you and get close to try to sell you stuff in the marina and downtown. Don’t be scared to get a gruff sounding NO! Out so they will leave you alone. They get right up in your space! A bit nerve wracking. The biggest draw back is that you can’t get in the ocean because the undertow is WAY too strong. But the waves sound so beautiful when going to sleep at night - like a thunderstorm. We attending a designation wedding for our friend and it was nothing short of magical! They did a great job with everything (except the Maui Maui - opt out of that menu item and stick with the prime rib). Also, we did some group activities with some of our people and really enjoyed them. We made sushi and we finger painted and got to bring it home with us as a souvenir! The pool are fun, and the swim up bar has some really nice shade. Great staff.

This resort is really amazing due to its employees. Joel and Carlos at the pool, Georgina for beakfast, Antonio for the wine tasting, Malu for a massage. The housekeeping staff is also amazing. The shows are for us older which we love so we never have to leave the beautiful resort. We’ve been coming here annually for over twenty years and just love it.

As an Expedia VIP member, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade upon arrival, which was a nice gesture. The resort also does a great job with activities and entertainment. There were daily activities for all ages and the nightly shows were fun and well done. We happened to be there when the 2026 World Cup kicked off, and the resort put together a fun celebration that really added to the atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort were wonderful—friendly, hardworking, and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality really stood out and made our stay enjoyable. A few things could be improved. We found the lunch and poolside food options somewhat limited, especially after several days. The alcoholic drinks were hit or miss for us, and most of the ones we ordered weren't really to our taste. One thing that's obviously out of the resort's control was the weather. We happened to visit during a very windy week, which made some activities more challenging and created much cooler evenings than we expected. If you're traveling during a windy season, I would suggest packing a light jacket, sweatshirt, sweater, and even a pair of pants just in case. Thankfully, the resort provided blankets for guests who wanted them while watching the evening shows or dining on the beach. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend Sandos Finisterra, especially for couples, families, or anyone looking for a resort with a great location, lots of activities, and exceptional staff.

The staff is second to none, attentive, polite and always had a smile. The property is lovely, you can't swim in the ocean, but you have 3 pools to choose from and they are beautiful one with a swim up bar. There is something for everyone on the menus. Located across from the marina, its just a short walk to shops and tequila tasting!
