We had a good time here despite the other negative reviews. The on site restaurants were good and offered a wide selection of food and I personally liked the breakfast buffet a lot. And definitely go to the juice bar!

An unforgettable experience! The resort's beauty, stunning beach and pools, and top-notch service were impressive. The nighttime entertainment was fantastic, especially the fire shows, latin dancing, and Mayan cultural performances. Every restaurant we visited was excellent, but Union, the Steakhouse truly stood out. Not only did the food rival any high-end steakhouse we've been to, but the service was absolutely impeccable. A heartfelt thank you to Jorge, the Head Chef at Union, for his extraordinary attention to detail and care for our son and his food allergies. He personally came to our table before, during, and after our meals—on both occasions—to make sure we were completely taken care of. And we were. It was a standout dining experience. What truly elevated our entire stay was the resort staff’s exceptional attention and care. Chef Pablo at the Mediterranean restaurant and Chef Luis at the buffet both went above and beyond to create safe and delicious options for our son, even preparing fresh eggless bread for him every morning. Our waitress Jimena provided warm and thoughtful service each day. Huge thanks to Samuel, the pool concierge, for keeping us organized and relaxed by the beach and pool, and to the entertainment team—Franco, Memos, Mario, and Gamma—who made our kids feel like VIPs through fun activities and friendly engagement. A special shout-out goes to our butler, May, who went above and beyond every single day. He made sure we maximized our time at SLS.

SLS Playa Mujeres is a beautiful resort with so much to offer. The service was excellent—staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. The food was outstanding at every restaurant I tried, with a great variety of dishes and flavors to enjoy. The adult pool was one of the best parts of my stay—huge, peaceful, and always had plenty of available sun loungers, which made relaxing so easy. Even though two of the restaurants were closed during my visit, there were still more than enough options to choose from. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the check-in experience. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready, which I understood. Guest Services told me I’d be upgraded to a swim-up room since I’m a Gold Expedia member, but I was given a second-floor room with an obstructed ocean view due to overgrown plants. I chose not to complain because I didn’t want to let it affect my vacation. Overall, I had a great time and I would still return. With a little more consistency in handling upgrades and expectations, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Just got back from Playa Mujeres (April 2025) and honestly—what an amazing experience! Everything was top-notch: the food, the rooms, the views… all just perfect. What really made it special though was the warm and personal service, especially from Andrea, the chief concierge. She went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the best of everything with a warm, welcoming vibe.
