The property, rooms, service, hospitality, and cleanliness were amazing and more than what we expected. The spa was amazing. I really didn’t care for the restaurants. Zama was ok, the steakhouse wasn’t good, and we actually enjoyed the room service food better than the restaurants. Those were the only two restaurants we ate at. We would definitely come back again and stay there. Beautiful place.

Everything was what my family and I hoped for. The resort was beautiful, the food was great, and the staff was wonderful. I worked a good deal on both snorkeling and Isla Mujeres excursions, that were amazing. I was disappointed to find out that this resort is not actually on the island of Isla Mujeres, but the location ended up being perfect. If we ever go back, I would look to book at Villas del Palmer first!

It was our first time at this resort and it went beyond our expectations! We had an ocean view two bedroom suite, it was clean, convenient and spacious for a family of four. The resort is beautiful, all the staff is friendly, helpful and kind. My son has a strict diet and they cooked it for him every day as soon as we arrived! We were looking for relaxation and it was just perfect! If you are looking for a night vibe look elsewhere, it’s not a party resort. It was the most relaxing vacation I’ve had and that’s exactly what I needed! Can’t wait to go back….

I normally don’t do reviews if it does not impress that much but the place is top tier (from the overview of the place, food and all the way down to drinks)! I recommend Davino (very fancy and mouth watering food, gotta check it out) and La Casona (the best rib eye steak ever)! Look for the bartender name Adrian, he makes the best drinks ever! Ask him for a surprise drink, he for sure knows what he’s doing. Best bartender! Also Carlos, at the front desk, was super attentive and hospitable. We booked 4 rooms total for the family and 2/4 rooms had a problem with the washer/dryer and he took it seriously. Other than that, everything else was working great. Well, compared to the rest of the hotels, they got the best service ever! Staff were super friendly. 4 Diamond hotel indeed! The only one thing I noticed is there is not many things to do at night (that is if you are looking for evening entertainments and night clubs) but in the morning they do have activities like beach volley, kayaking, snorkeling. So I’d say it’s great for family with kids and if you want a much laid back hotel this is the place to stay for relaxation. Also, if you are not into presentation (time-shares or investments), please SAY NO right away as they will try to lure you with promotions like a big discount for excursions and they will say something like they only wanted to let you see the sister company (hotel mousai and garza blanca) so you can book for your next visit, almost ruined our stay.

Great resort! Food was fantastic, drinks were premium, and facilities were spotless. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Truly felt like a luxurious experience. Only complaint was the lack of entertainment at night. We were there with our 3 year old so wasn't that big of an issue, but would have expected better entertainment options.

The staff were very friendly and the facilities were very well kept. The food was great and I enjoyed the variety at the different restaurants. The kids really enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend this resort for family vacation.

Overall I had a great stay. The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful and kind for the most part. The one restaurant Davino was my least favorite due to poor service but the food was good. I was a solo traveler and they kind of sat me off to the side in the back. They forgot about me and never came to close out the check, after asking several times, I had to just leave. It was all inclusive so they just missed out on a tip. The spa was nice but the hydrotherapy was under maintenance so it was closed majority of my stay. I was able to use it one day and it was nice. The activity staff was awesome! Alfredo and his team did a great job with bingo, painting, and the walking tour to el meco. Over all great stay and Reuben was a great server at the pool!

I traveled here with my husband and 10 month old daughter. This was an amazing family friendly resort, they provided a crib and high chair in our room. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Our only complaint was that we booked the all inclusive package, but after every drink, and every meal, we were asked to sign a tab, where the staff would ask for a tip and automatically have the machine at 20%. If you didn’t tip, they remembered for the next time. The point of an all inclusive trip is to not have to sign for every drink / meal you get and you shouldn’t be expected to tip on every single order - we already paid. Additionally, the 20% was 20% of what it would have cost if we weren’t all inclusive, as you can imagine that 20% adds up extremely fast. I like to tip in cash, and we are good tippers - but it was off putting and awkward being asked to tip after every single drink and meal - I have never been to a resort like this. It also made us not want to to go to certain restaurants and bars because those staff members made it awkward if we didn’t tip 20% like it was expected - when we already paid the all inclusive fee. If this were to be fixed, this would have been the perfect resort!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa del Palmar Cancun. The best thing about this resort is definitely the staff — everyone was amazing, friendly, and always ready to help. The restaurant staff especially made our experience even better with their great service and positive attitude. The property is very clean and well maintained, including the rooms, common areas, and the pool, which was always spotless and enjoyable for families. The beach itself is beautiful, but the water was not as clean because of the seaweed situation. You can see the staff working hard every day to clean it, and they truly do their best, but there is only so much anyone can do with the amount of seaweed coming in naturally. Overall, we had a great vacation and really appreciated the hardworking staff and the clean, relaxing atmosphere of the resort.
