At Middlethorpe Guesthouse, my husband and I just returned from a long bank holiday weekend. It was our first visit, and we were preparing for our wedding anniversary. My husband is gluten intolerant, and Wendy and Andy, our hosts, went out of their way to accommodate this, so he didn't feel left out when we were all given their delicious cooked breakfasts. The I is excellent value for money because it is spotless and cozy, has wifi, the sky, and an impressive variety of dads. The coast bus stops at the end of the drive, just yards from the door, making it convenient for visiting many of the east coast resorts and also handy for dropping you off at the top of Robin Hoods Bay. I would stay again. The hosts were attentive without being disruptive and were knowledgeable about the local area to make sure you got the best out of your stay. At night, the location is lovely and quiet, and you can sit in the charming garden with a stunning sea view. If you need a local taxi, I would also advise Flask taxis, where wendy can give you the phone number. The driver is a nice guy who will pick you up on the dot and drive you from Robin Hoods Bay if necessary because the local buses stop at teatime!.

The room is spotless with a view, a comfy mattress, and a luxurious bed. Plus, the location was fantastic to explore the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms are wellkept and set on the top of a hill. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared, we choose full english on the first morning and porridge on the second, followed by smoked salmon and eggs. If that's not enough, you can have toast, fruit, juice, cereal, fruit, or anything else you need. We spent miles walking, but we also drove by car to Scarborough and took the coast bus to get back from Whitby. The coast bus drops you off right at the end of the journey despite the fact that we drove many repeat customers. Wendy and and Andy are lovely laidback hosts who appear to have many returning visitors. If you need it, they have a lot of local information. Wendy reserved us a table at the nearest pub on our first evening, which was only about a mile away, and we took a walk back in the dark the next time, but I would not suggest taking a taxi! Hope to see Wendy and Andy again for a few more home town discussions.

The breakfast here is very good and the food here is very good, especially for the breakfast we got from Wendy, the owner, is kind and helpful, and even the breakfast was very tasty with all the amenities. The bathroom here is tiny. The room is also big. The book in the room has a lot of good information about places to eat and places to stay.

In June 2017, I was able to compare 11 guesthouses and hotels in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Fire, Wales, and London. The Middlethorpe Guesthouse, located on the uphill side of fylingthorpe, is not only a fantastic spot to stay and a fantastic starting point for a trip to Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, and the North Yorkshire moors, but also serves the best breakfast porridge in the uk and ireland. Among the 21 years in the business, the hosts, Wendy and Andy are knowledgeable, hospitable, and fully devoted to assisting their visitors to maximize their visit.
