In 2019, we went on the most stunning and idyllic vacation in Luka, Mozambique. We wanted to return in 2020, and we approached our booking again via the aforementioned booking companies where Hotel Tofo Mar was suggested, and while we booked knowing it was expensive, we trusted our suppliers and believed it would be worthwhile. We unfortunately contracted couid in December 2020 and missed our vacation. However, the hotel transferred it, and we eventually arrived in December 2021. Before we arrived, there was significant communication between myself and the manager regarding beach closures and other such things, and we even paid extra to transfer our dates into high season. We were the only guests at the hotel, which was practically closed. Not even an umbrella was on it. We were told by the only staff member on duty that the bar and restaurant were closed. It was not news for us. Except for the mosquito net hole, the room was beautiful. Breakfast was shocking, prepared by the man who checked us in. No fault of the concierge, and no other guests, no staff, and definitely no holiday atmosphere. During the entire booking, rebooting, and returning to Mozambique, the youtube video on the hotel website featured a very different hotel than what was stated, and we did not receive a refund at all. The property is conveniently situated on major roads to the ocean, so it was ideal for someone who enjoys sunrise, sunset, and sunset pursuit. If you so choose, you can also simply enjoy the moon at night on the veranda or directly on the beach. It is also conveniently situated in the heart of town, making it easy to access markets, restaurants, etc. I would advise a sea view room because you can hear the ocean than a city view room where you can hear the partiesmusic. The rooms were spotless, and daily supplies were supplied. The showers had excellent water flow and hot water, but the shower drains did not drain properly. It's nice that the property also has a generator, which is wonderful because I was able to work even when the rest of the city, the city where our office, had no electricity. The only thing is that they really need to improve their wifi access on the property for those of us on business trips, as wifi rarely worked no matter where you were on the property. The included breakfast spread was always delicious, and the kitchenwaiting employees were very accommodating if I requested my own items prepared or if I hadn't eaten yet by noon. Louisa, Daniels, and other names I can't recall were always caring, kind, and very accommodating to any needs or requests. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel on days I had to travel for

Ive visited Tofo numerous times over the last decade. It was always a pleasure. Its such a lively small town filled with foreigners. Fantastic diving, tasty cuisine, and a spectacular beach. This time, I wanted a beautiful hotel with a view of the sea. And Tofo Mar has the best view, it's actually on the beach. Thank you so much Paulo and Laura! for the superb service! The architecture of the building, and the functional enough electricity outlets! Beautiful bathroom and overall charm. It's not a 5 star hotel, and it might use some paint, but I prefer a genuine place, thats also the charm. Its perfect for both solo travelers and families. And it has a very reasonable price and the best diving deals with a wide variety of scuba. I heartily suggest both.
