Loved the wooden interior and the neighbourhood- close to the moat, restaurant and other activities but still in a relatively quiet spot.The staff were so helpful. l highly recommend this place.

Very helpful staff who goes out of their way to make your stay trouble free. My 110 -220 transformer burnt out and the entire staff helped me navigate Madalay to find one to buy. Highly recommended

Form the time arriving at Hotel Emperor in Mandalay, i have been in for a Surprise. This has been by far one of my best stays on my two months around Asia. The Professional & personable staff have made the difference , how ever the location & fresh clean sheets , good breakfast , cleanliness all has helped. My experience is of Staff going out of the way to take me on motor bike rides to improve the quality of my travels. Bank & phone companies etc. They have treated me with extreme empathy & kindness.

What a surprise ! Best staff ever in Myanamar. It was really plesant to stay there. The staff was super kind and pro ! The food was really good and unexpensive. the hotel is decorated with wood, really pretty! only bad point : the shower! is very small and smell super bad ! They speack english very well. execpt that the hotel worth 5 stars ! thank you so much fo all!

I picked this hotel because it was close to the train station and it actually turned out to be a good choice all around. The front desk staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much of a concern. I was on the 4th floor and there aren't elevators but there is always someone willing to give you a hand with luggage, so don't let that deter you. Next door is a good little restaurant, Bistro. I can recommend this hotel.

Loved the location and the staff. Breakfast was good. The bathrooms could use an update but that is reflected in the cost. I would stay here if I returned.

Good location. Friendly staff- very approachable. No much variety for breakfast but the soup and sticky rice are the best!! It was quite noisy for the room (405) by the main road. We didn't sleep well because of this. When we changed to the other side (402), it was much quieter. No lift is available. So need to climb up.

Older building needing some work but quaint and comfortable. Well located. And the staff deserve an extra half star. Other reviewers berated the breakfast but it was OK, and how much can you expect on this budget?

Nice facility and staff. The rooms feel old, could use some general sprucing up. Location was OK but not great. Difficult to walk anywhere, and all the good places to see were a taxi or motorized rickshaw drive away.

Our stay at Hotel Emperor in Mandalay was very nice. Room was as seen on the photos although the view was just wall of the next building. Breakfast was quite nice - including eggs, noodles, sausages, fruit and toast. Hotel staff helped us with arranging transportation to Bagan. Mandalay is not super exciting city so there is not much around the hotel, but we managed to find good restaurants and beauty salon. Overall, great value for money (we also stayed in another hotel in a similar price range in Mandalay and Emperor was by far better).
