We booked this hotel online because we knew that in Myanmar, one always needs to anticipate the unexpected. We got a very positive first impression, and the welcoming lady checked us in right away and efficiently. When we saw the rooms, our stomach burst. At the back of the property, there are two adjacent bungalows which were dark, cheerless, and furnished. They had alarming floral wallpaper and a wide selection of wornout, inappropriate furniture. The curtains wouldn't open, the strings were damaged, and the restrooms were bland and unappealing. The garden is largely concrete and several buildings have been thrown up without a proper view, making for a very depressing atmosphere without a view and little or no comfort. There is a large beer station on this deteriorating property, and the noise from the revelers continued quite late. It was nothing, but nothing compared to the din of the people gathering at 5.30 am in the yard behind our bungalows. Good points a good, strong, pipinghot shower, a comfortable bed, and a surprisingly delicious breakfast, though I do wonder why the staff must consistently knock on your door at 7.00 am to take orders for a breakfast that is available until 9.30. a standard room with an additional bed and breakfast is 33 mmk for three people. I confirmed my reservation via email, but I wasnt sure when I arrived as they showed me all the other rooms before the standard one. But once we checked, they immediately delivered the extra bed. The only complaint was that the tub in our room was broken, but it could still be used for bathing. The staff was helpful and courteous. We had dinner at the Golden Lion. It seemed that there were many military men there, and we were the only foreigners and civils there. However, we had a great server who went above and beyond to get our orders and an English menu, doing his best to relay information when he just knew a bit of English. The meal was good, but the Tom yam soup was important, but the highlight was the fried steamed pork. When ordering, I was completely sceptical, but I had an amazing time eating it. For three people, the meal cost 14.300 mmk. They also fed us breakfast early as we wanted to catch the train. Also, they reduced their taxi cost so we could get to the train station. All in all, a great place. And theres a tiger at the front desk!.

The best Thai restaurant in Liverpool by far! Great fresh Thai street food in a beautifully designed venue. Very attentive staff, special wine list and even the extra bonus of it's own extensive I t menu. I only wish I could eat here every night. Visit and you will definitely return.
