After my trek and o'hara trip, I stayed with Thakur's wonderful parents, his wife, and son's ninja for 3 nights on one of the best parts of my stay in Nepal. It's a simple but unforgettable experience to spend time with the family and observe their daily life eating meals with them, visiting relatives, and praying in the temple. I felt like I was a member of their family. This is a wonderful homestay if you want to unwind and be away from the dusty roads of Kathmandu for a while. The monkey temple is also accessible by foot in just 30 minutes. The apartment was lovely and spacious, with a bathroom and toilet. A rooftop is a great place to enjoy the morning sun or unwind at night while observing the moon. Koala's dishes were always new and delectable. Several of the veggies even come freshly from their backyard garden. I enjoyed the mildly spicy dal bhat and my favorite hot milk tea! I also enjoyed engaging discussions with ninja and learning more about Nepal from him. He has both books about Buddhist and fiction books which you may loan. It is definitely worthwhile returning!.

Thank you Thakur and his family for a wonderful and welcoming experience! It was very nice to be welcomed into the family and a very heartwarming time! Just a short taxi ride from Thamel you can enjoy a peaceful place away from the crowds tourist center! Thank you for your hospitality

We just completed a 21-day trek into Sum Valley and Manacle with our first environmental trekking. Thakur and his entire family were very welcoming to us. We were greeted by Koala, Thakur's wife, and served a wonderful lunch. We enjoyed the view of Kathmandu from the rooftop balcony. We rested and enjoyed tea in their lovely garden and had delectable dal bhat with fresh organic veggies from their garden for dinner. We would absolutely recommend an eco homestay.

This is a truly charming home. We stay there during the days off between the Upper Mustang Trekking and the Human Expedition, organized by the same owner, the owner and the taker. It is a very comfortable place, close to the center, very peaceful and quiet. All the guests family will make you feel at home. The food is tasty and inviting. This place is really recommended.
