Definitely a must try! We visit Bardiya National Park in November 2019. We stayed there one night. The service is above average, the rooms are tidy and clean, the chef serves live freelance chicken and mutton bbd at the table while sipping chilled beers. The staff is very welcoming. The safari was the best part, with monkeys, deers, tigers, elephants, rhinos, peacocks, and many more. Really a wonderful experience.

We would not have had these wonderful experiences without a fantastic visit to the rhino lodge. Our guide, sitar, and driver took us on driving excursions for two full days in a topless martin jeep sized vehicle. On the first day, sitar caught a tiger in the jungle, about 30 meters away, within about 30 minutes. The tiger slowly vanished as we stood about an hour in front of the safari vehicle and hoped it would cross the gravel road behind. The next day, our guide took us to a river bank where we waited. As a male tiger came out of the jungle to drink from the river, our guide ordered us to hide behind the trees as a male tiger emerged from the jungle to drink from the river. The tiger slowly crossed the river, capturing our finest moments a few minutes later. There were large mugger crocodiles lazing on the banks at an additional location along the river. The large Indian rock pythons were intertwined on the top of the tall matted grasses on a small island just below a river bluff where we were standing. The pythons were all very long, but it was difficult to tell where one started or where one ended with parts of their bodies expanding into the matted grasses. While

This is a lovely and cozy location with incredible Nepalean hospitality and warmth. They treat you like family and do their best to attend to your every need. It feels more like a lovely village home than a large hotel. You wont find fancy bathroom fixtures or wellequipped rooms, but youll find a peaceful night in a comfy bed with a functioning air conditioner and hot showers. What makes this place special is the staff. They light a fire for you. They prepare meals according to your dietary needs and are there to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Despite the countrys poor governance, the national park is extremely well managed and safe. The hotel will provide you with knowledgeable guides, vehicles, and gear to enjoy your time in the jungle and explore the amazing flora and fauna. You may be lucky and see a tiger, but even if not, you will see many other animals and enjoy the nature. Its the thrill of the search that is more rewarding than the actual sighting. You smell the forest, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the company of the knowledgeable guide and take home the wonderful memories. Our guide sitar was the best of the best, and we were lucky to have him. We know him from previous tripadvisor reviews, and he was even better in person.

We stayed three nights at the rhino lodge. The accommodations were comfortable and clean if a bit old. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The walking safari and the jeep safari in cardiac national park with our guide, Sitar also known as the tiger man, were the highlights of the visit. His knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm were amazing. Thanks to his perseverance, we saw a male royal Bengal tiger on the jeep safari. This is something we will not forget. Our impression is that tigers on safari are uncommon, and Sitars skill in finding them is exceptional. Tigers aside, cardiac National Park is a beautiful and relatively uncontested national park with many species to see.

The Rhino lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The place is strategically located near the National Park entrance. The place is also close to the garden and the breakfast service. The room was spotless, and the staff was so helpful. The room is clean with cold AC and hot water. And then, the bed was comfortable.
