There are no hotplates or cooking appliances other than a microwave in the kitchen, very expensive for what you get. It seems we paid taht more to book online than others paid per night. The location is good, but not too far from anywhere.

This hostel was by far the most affordable we were able to find in Amsterdam for our booking dates. We reserved a private room for two people. The staff was extremely friendly and available at the desk 24 hours he day. It was basic with clean bedding and bunk beds, as well as an ensuite bathroom. When our train arrived early at 12 p. M. To leave our luggage, we arrived before 12 pm and came to check it in, but the receptionist informed us that the room was already ready for checkin. Checkout was at 10 oclock. After reading other reviews that they prefer cash payments, so we stopped at an atm just idly away from the hostel to collect the money to pay the bill. They also ask for an eur 10 key deposit, which is returned when you check out (this is retained if you checkout late). We didnt use the kitchen facilities either, therefore ill not comment on that. However, there, where we did, refill our water bottles and keep drinks in the refrigerator, the cooking appeared clean and suitable for making some small snacks. In the south of the city, this area was lovely. Much less touristy than the center, with lots of activities to do nearby and great transportation to get into the centre too. This is the place to be if youre seeking affordable lodging just outside of downtown! It will be modest because it is inexpensive, but honestly, the staff was really kind and welcoming, and the people in my hostel were also quite laid back. The personnel and location are excellent, as is their staff! Additionally, having a cat that hangs around is incredibly beneficial!.

Its not the cleanest but definitely not worst place to stay. Bring a towel! Of course, smaller dorms are better. Large dorem is quite busy, but as expected. The toilet in the first room i stayed in was great because it was empty when he arrived. In the next room, the toilet wasnt so good, although it can be challenging to keep sanitary between 14 and 21 people. If you want to smoke and rest your head in Amsterdam, this is the place for you! Great location, lovely park nearby, metro, coffee, food, and cosy restaurant or bar area. Price per night is our main issue, however, it appears that this has been the new rates for sleeping in amsterdam. I remember once when hostels were eur 10 per nights! Times have changed, yet the hostel remains the same.

I highly recommend this place. It was a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly, the security is excellent, and the rooms are nice and they provide free coffee. Monta was an amazing host at the reception.
