The hotel was lovely. The front desk staff was very helpful with local recommendations. Cleaning staff did a great job tidying the room. Common areas were very relaxing. A/c worked great. Very close to main sights. Right across the street from church or cathedral.5,0/516 Jan 2023

We had a wonderful time at the grand central hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable, and the rooftop bar was amazing. We also found the location to be very convenient for exploring the city. I would not hesitate to recommend it and would definitely stay here again if i return to barcelona!.4,8/516 Jul 2024

Fantastic stay! You are greeted by a friendly staff as soon as you walk in. The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond for service. Excellent location, right next to the Gothic quarters, ten minutes walk to nearby metro stations, and fifteen to twenty minutes stroll to beach. My favorite feature of the hotel is the rooftop pool! I would recommend booking sun beds by the pool the day before because they fill up fast! Overall, it was incredibly enjoyable, so i will be back!.4,8/515 Mei 2024

Ive stayed in hotels for more than a thousand nights, and i have rarely experienced dependable, courteous, or attentive service. If ive been able, ill give the grand central service level six stars. The front desk, doormen, waiters, cleaning crew, bartenders, etc. All had excellent interactions with me. Bravo to the hotels management team! This location is great! Totally fine! The location of this place is excellent, right in the heart of old town, so you can walk to everything. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We really enjoyed our morning swims there, which was never busy and had fantastic views on the roof top. Even though the rooftop is small, it is always empty and gets as hot as anyone could want. My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon sauna sessions before going out to dinner every night. Both the mattresses and the linens are of high quality. Although there was no view, the bedroom had blackout blinds, but our room was at the back of the hotel, making it very quiet for us and we had some excellent sleep. Its worth noting that the room size was quite tiny. There is a fabric curtain between you and your sink area, where the toilet is divided by obstructing the glass partition slider that doesnt close all the way. If you are worried, perhaps call ahead to find out if the larger rooms have separate bathrooms because the bathroom is so small that youll be very near to them on their toilet with dividers. I think its important to mention that even for utmost luxury, especially for someone who is creative and only there for several days. We will most certainly stay here again the next time we visit barcelona! Excellent location! I cant express enough positive things about this hotel. During our sixnight stay in barangay, we stayed here for six nights. The location is unbeatable, its close to so many attractions, especially our favorite neighborhoods, the Gothic and Born quarters, and it is only a short taxi ride from everything else. They are incredibly welcoming! After boarding despite undergoing reentry, staff members were ready to assist us with our bags. When it was raining, they assisted us in locating taxis and helped us find taxi assistance. Provided umbrellas when it started to rain. There are no language barriers. Although my husband does speak naiveties in spanish, much of the staff communicates fluently in english. Its fantastic rooftop! Beautiful city views. Even though the pool is small, it wasnt overcrowded, but it didnt get heated. Just to clarify, you can only reserve the loungers for two hours at if you want to use them while on vacation. One day, during our stay, there was lunch by the swimming pool, which was delicious and reasonably priced. However, because we never wanted to spend more than two days at the resort, that wasn't advisable for us because it had been one of Europes finest hotel breakfasts weve ever4,8/524 Okt 2023

One of the best checkin experiences in a long time! The best rooftop bar with life dj set on weekends (sundays, etc.) Super friendly and helpful staff. All new rooms with everything you need for tastier evenings and nights after soaking up the heat of barcelona. The only drawback to our stay was that it was only for two short nights! The hotel was wellappointed and in a great location. The bed was very comfortable, the room was cleaned/turned down promptly ( with various small treats often left including bottled cava to cheer up if you want to travel, so thoughtful!). It was essentially surrounded by everything and felt very safe. A midday recharge activity was the rooftop pool. Very friendly service, accommodating or early checkin and helpful in setting up early transit the next morning, no language barriers, just overall outstanding. If i had to draw any complaints, ill say the pool chairs fill quickly and we were booted for reserving, but what can you do? And there seems to be constant running water coming from above our room all night long. Its more of an oddity than an irritation, yet it is there. Anyway, stay there and enjoy it! We just finished a 4 night stay here and had savored it. The location is great, you can walk or ebike almost everywhere. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They really make this hotel special. I enjoyed i had my facial at the spa and the gym was nice too. Best part is definitely the sky bar. Get there early if you want to have t pool day so you will get your name on the list of chairs. The staff at grand hotel central were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. After a long flight, we appreciated being invited to relax in the bistro bar while our room was ready for an early checkin. With its elegant catalan Noucentisme design and contemporary, urban sophistication, this lovely boutique hotel made us feel like we had gone back in time. Our bright, clean modern room with crisp linens, fluffy towels, and lovely toiletries made our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the gorgeous rooftop terrace with its spectacular city views and amazing infinity pool. The attentive staff of skybar introduced us to our new favorite cocktail, Mediterranean Gin Mare and tonic! The hotel is perfectly situated between the Gothic quarter, which is the heart of the city center, as well as the trendy El Born neighborhood, where shops, cafes are located, restaurants, bars, etc. Can be reached on foot from here. Our time here was wonderful. We stayed for five nights in august 2023 and had a great time. The personnel would come twice yearly to tidy up, and the rooms were immaculate. Since there arent many fountains in barcelona to refill, we were given two water bottles every day, which was fantastic. Everything we needed to see was within walking distance of the hotel, even the beach. Right behind the motel was the best restaurant weve ever eaten. Everyone welcomed us with grins as soon as we entered the establishment. In the morning, the rooftop pool was so tranquil, while the sauna was also enjoyable. It was impossible to stay an additional week. Taxis are quite simple to find right outside the door. Both the mattresses and air conditioning worked perfectly! It felt like being back in limbo after spending the entire day out in the heat and sleeping like babes. I had the impression that i had met some of Barcelonas friendliest people. Also, excellent advice was given by the staff, such as be cautious of pickpockets and staying safe at the festival. Additionally, ive enjoyed the spacious restrooms large mirrors or closets on the big bathrooms. There were some issues when our safe stopped functioning, our cash and passports were stuck there, so they had to open the safe to get our belongings out. I stayed at the hotel twice and loved everything. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. They opened the rooftop terrace a bit earlier as photography is one of my hobbies, just for me to get savoring el Borns sunrise. Big thing was they always warned me not to bring my camera in late at night, which i really appreciate. Rooms are nice, some better - the first room ive had was huge and very nice but the view outside the window wasnt that great. Other times the room wasn't so great in comparison to the previous one, but it was much better. Everything was clean and nothing was broken, damaged, or not working. Breakfast is delicious and you have dozens of options! The only thing ill miss is the churros that used to be part of breakfast. Roof terrace is amazing and one among the best places to enjoy opulent sunsets. Even more, drinks are super delicious but pricier than expected, 5 stars, old town.4,6/54 Apr 2024
