We just got back from a trip to Mauritius to visit Andre lieu in Maastricht but decided to stay in Valkenburg. What a wonderful decision, the hotel is in an excellent location for food, drink and all local attractions. Our room was modern and spacious. We didn't eat at the hotel at night, but the breakfast buffet was very good and all the staff were great. On our last day there was a cow vehicle performance by a 1940 s army band in one of the squares. we were told there will be a larger event next September. Construction work is being done to the main square in front of the hotel, but this didn't bother us at all, and we decided to go back next year to see it completed.

The hotel is centrally located, making it ideal for touring. The room is clean and spacious, the bathroom is clean. The food is delicious. The only negative thing is that some of the waiters at the evening restaurant were so glum!

This hotel has a classic hotel that's been refurbished. When we went out on a business trip to Valkenburg, I stayed here with my colleagues. The staffs were friendly, making our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel bar and lobby area are new and interesting. We had a great time there. The rooms and common areas of this hotel are nice and clean.

The hotel is in a great location, walking to the caves, castle ruins and the myriad of restaurants and bars lining the quaint cobblestone streets. Our room was extremely large and comfortable, even having air conditioning. The bathroom facilities were adequate, although it was a shower over the bath which I found awkward to get into and out of as an older person. No handrail at all. Tea and coffee were not provided in the room and we were not informed if it was available elsewhere in the hotel. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, with a few hot dishes supplied. I can not see us ever going back to valkenburg, but if we did, I would be happy to stay there again. We actually got taxis each way from masstricht station, which cost about 50, so it's not too expensive.
