The triple room was basic, clean and well maintained. There was a heater but no AC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and drained onto the floor of the bathroom, but it dried up faster than expected with the bedroom window open due to the low humidity weather. There was one kind of soap for hair and body, no hair conditioner or lotion. A hair dryer can be rented with a 10 euro deposit. Overall a very pleasant stay for such a central location near the red light destrct, Chinatown, and 7 minutes walk to central station. Not noisy per se, but we found it's better to sleep with the window closed due to occasional noises.

It was terrific location for the central city. The room was large enough for all of us. The shower was a little wonky with almost zero incline so water got all over the floor. But everything else worked perfectly. Staff super helpful.

The staff were lovely. The area of the hostel is very close to everything, falling on the outskirts of the red light district. The room is very basic but that worked well for us!

Overall, ok. The location is pleasant, 5 minutes walk from the center of amsterdam. You are in the red district, 20 minutes walking to the extra center, and 30 minutes for leidseplein. Although the guys at the reception were friendly, we encountered an issue with the asian member of the staff. On the morning, when he entered our room (which had nine out of ten beds, the last one was empty, no one knocked on to shout at us with hardly any english. When we went to complain about his behavior at reception, they stood behind him despite the fact that if ill be proven wrong, she was standing behind her. Having said that, both the bartenders and waiters were very friendly and have incredibly lovely patio outside next to it by the canal. I would recommend, but please take action against this guy.

It has a great location, has common areas, eats at tastiest restaurants, and clean bathrooms. We were so afraid to go because we booked without seeing reviews (which we never do) I went with 0 expectations (even lower) but it was actually quite nice. The room we shared was good in terms of space, they dont have lockers big enough for carryons or larger luggage, but the room is big sufficient to fit them near your bed. They wont provide locker or towels so its good to know and take. Showers and toilets keep looking clean all the time and the staff is pretty friendly with only one exception, the guy who cleans in the morning will go to the rooms an hour before checkout and open curtains to wake everyone up, make noise, etc. That was terrible. Everything else except his attitude was fine.

The location is crucial because we only stayed for one night and you should be aware that you are only there to sleep, so the location of this hotel perfectly fits this description. There should have been fewer beds in the rooms because the space between the beds is too tight. It also gets really hot at night. The service was excellent.

The room is quite clean, spacious enough, and has comfortable beds. The security is good as well, they dont let anyone in without an id card. Its location is great right in the city center. Great price for what you get. If you enjoy karaoke, visit the end, which is a 5minute walk from the hotel.

We spent two nights here with our three children. Our room and private restroom were both spotless. We all had a good nights sleep, and the beds were comfortable. Although there was no air conditioning, we did have sanitized windows that we left open. This kept us from having crowded rooms, but we still had fresh air.

Extremely basic but my room was clean (room 100), as was the bathroom, although the lighting was very poor (making it difficult to apply makeup in!). The main bar is fine, however the toilets downstairs are a bit shabby. Staff are nice enough but funny when you ask for tap water. No smoking room if you expect one like i did! Im not sure when they got rid of it but they advertise as still having one which they dont anymore. In conclusion, ive had ok enough time, the beds were clean and comfortable though the lockers are slightly finicky - seems like luck with this one. Great location, though tucked away!.

This place really pleased me. Although i wasnt expecting much, it far exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a private triple room with our own bathroom because it is surrounded by hotels with some dormitories. The rooms were immaculately clean, and the beds were cozy. Towels can be purchased from reception, but we brought our ones. It was the shower that let me down, yet it did its job. A bar with billiards table is located downstairs in the lobby, while outside there is an attractive terrace with seating. As convenient as it gets, the location is. Overall, we were very pleased with what we saw and would return.

This place has a great location. You can walk to all the tourist attractions in the city of holland. The bike you can rent will assist you at other locations. Although the hotel staff was friendly, i never received reassurance about my chargers loss. There were no issues with the hostel because it was quite clean. Perhaps there could be improvements in common areas. In comparison to the other hostels in europe, and its quality, this one is rated tad expensive, in my opinion.

The hostel the globe is conveniently located next to the central station in the city center of amsterdam. However, the facilities inside the hostel could be a little better. For example, having fewer communal bathrooms for men and women instead of separating them. Second, there are open beds in both mixed dorms. So, if you want some privacy, please book id like to have enamored with me. The staff was very friendly and allowed me to check in early. If youre on tasty budget and are willing to accommodate kindly, this should be the place for you.

The upper floors are quite hot during the summer, you may hear other rooms or corridor noise through the walls, but it is relatively quiet at night. Excellent location because it lies right next to the red light district. Great for a few nights stay and primarily for sleeping in the heart of town. Unfortunately, the bar is under renovation. The receptionist was excellent and spoke good english.
