The hotel looks more like a flat than a hostel. People here seemed to treat it more like a hostel than a hotel. Many of them have been there for months. not a bad thing, but something we didn't notice when we booked. It merely gave the place a different vibe. The biggest problem we had was with the room theme. In the pictures, everything looks bright and cheerful, but we were in a room with fifty shades of gray. This could have been disruptive for some people, as there were whips and handcuffs all over, and this should be divulged to guests at or before check-in. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, close to the train station and a nice shopping center, staff seemed nice, but we only interacted with them at check in, so I can't say how helpful they are beyond that. Cons my locker was damaged, the lockers were only big enough for a backpack, the blind on the floor to ceiling window in the room was broken and would not close, mold in the showers, showers splashed water out into the rest of the bathroom and the hall, many stores in the shopping center Albert heian included didn't accept credit cards or cash at self check-in.

I stayed at this hostel with 8 friends and they provided all the facilities we need. This hostel is very clean, you feel very safe, the staff is also very friendly. I will go back to this hostel.

This establishment seemed to feel more like an apartment than a hostel for travelers. Many people have been there for months. Not necessarily bad, but something we didn't understand when we booked. It simply gave the establishment a different vibe. The room theme was the biggest issue we had. From the pictures, they all look bright and cheery but we were put in the rooms in 50 shades of grey. This could have irritated some people because there were whips and handcuffs all over, and it should have been disclosed to guests at or before checkin. Pros included a well-stocked kitchen with cooking supplies, a nice shopping center, and staff who seemed friendly, but we only spoke with them at check-in, so I can't say how helpful they are beyond that. My locker was broken, the lockers were just big enough for a backpack, the floor-to-ceiling window in the room was broken and wouldn't close, mold in the shower, the shower splashed water into the rest of the bathroom and the hallway, numerous stores in the Albert Heian shopping center didn't accept credit cards or cash at self checkout.

I will stay here again. The hostel is located in a pleasant, quiet area in a great quiet location about a 5-minute walk from a train station that will take you anywhere in Amsterdam. Every hostel room has a code so that only the employee and guests can enter. The beds are very comfortable. The toilets are clean, and while I didn't take a shower, they looked lovely. The restrooms are clean and also have excellent cooking facilities and a shaded outdoor area. I had a great time here, and I highly recommend it.

I would definitely suggest this place. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. The hostel is in a lovely, quiet area around 5 minutes' walk from a train station that takes you everywhere in Amsterdam. I felt quite safe because all the hostel rooms had codes so that only those staying there and the staff could enter. The bathroom was clean, and even though I didn't take a shower, the area was well maintained. The outdoor area was closed off, and the cooking facilities were very nice.
