Right in middle of everything . Small room but perfect for what u need. Nice comfy bed, bathroom/shower, TV. No a/c but room did have fan kept room fresh. Across there’s a pub, a lot of food options in walking distance. 7 min walk from Leiden Central Station. Very pleasant stay.

The property is in an older building, it is a walk up to the room. Though it is right near the river and easy to get to from the Centraal station. Breakfast was at their other location the Rembrandt Hotel. A vegan breakfast is available and they accommodated our request, though they didn’t have any non dairy milk or cream for the coffee. The staff was friendly, and helpful. It was only a short walk to anything we needed.

The initial room we were in had a faulty heater, and with temperatures at freezing, we knew it would be a cold night. Luckily, there was a room open, and the reception offered us a transfer to the open room. We stayed in room 6 in the LOT hotel - the attic room with a seating area. It was beautifully appointed, and the extra space made for a very comfortable stay. The double windows blocked out the street noise and we enjoyed a very restful night. The hotel is situated in the heart of the shopping and restaurant area, great for families, and easy 8 minute walk to a large grocery store and the train station. The location is ideal!!

This is not a hotel but a house with a number of rooms to rent. First, you check into another nearby hotel. A day in advance, you receive helpful information about this via mail. Because I arrived early, the staff was very welcoming and allowed me to leave my baggage there. My key arrived at 3 am, and it was initially a challenge to find the hotel, but it is the first home on the corner of the square. It has a sign stating lots of motel. A man in the restaurant with the same door showed me which key to use for the front door when it was closed. The stairs were quite steep, and I wouldn't be happy with a large suitcase, but this time I was lucky. Comparable to most business hotels I usually visit, room 205 has it's charm. The room was clean, but there was no toilet paper. Lucky me, I was able to find some employees before they left. The bathroom is quite small but functional. There is no shower curtain. AC windows must be open. If your over 190 am theres a high risk of hitting your head. Overall, a good, decent room at a reasonable price. I realize that many people have different opinions on whats acceptable, but I like the charm. Located in the heart of the city. This is not a hotel, but I have good experiences in hostels like this one. If youre in this category and only plan to remain one night, I don't think it's a big problem. If not, simply find another location! The receptionist was friendly and the room was clean. He greeted us in an old bar! We had to pay in cash, but it wasn't fun for me personally because we got room 5. The bathroom was quite small, but the water pressure was adequate for longhair people. We stayed there on a sunday, so the environment wasn't noisy. No one handled the checkout. This was a 2 star hotel, although it wasn't terrible.

Overall I was unhappy and would not go back there. You must check in through the cafe next door and they only accept money. There was no owner at all. The stairs to the top level were quite steep and difficult to carry with luggage. I was in room 4 at the front that has a nice view. The bedroom itself seemed clean, but the shower didn't seem so clean and smell. Wifi didn't seem to work, no heating, and no front window. The keys must be left in a box on the way out, and you have to depend on other guests locking the front door during your stay. I normally try to be positive with the reviews, but this wasn't a great place to stay for a single traveler because it didn't feel very secure.

I spent a week at the Rose on business. While I was skeptical after reading the other reviews and looking at the website, I was very happy to be pleasantly surprised. This is ideal if one wants a homey feel than a standard hotel room in the heart of Leaden. The six-room, pretty lovely, felt newly renovated. I like the idea that interior elements have been picked for the room. The only thing I missed was a full-length mirror. The shower was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I would certainly return. But, like other reviewers, it is not a hotel for those who struggle to climb and descend stairs.
