Recommend the Junior Suite if you enjoy space. This is a historic hotel so although not like a brand new hotel....is a total classic and a beauty. Staff were so incredible. Very small lifts were a representation of days gone by. A fantastic experience, central and on the main road so a perfect location. Our bathroom was huge, tiled with a spa bath. Plenty of towels. They provide shampoo and body wash in a dispenser in the shower. Piping hot water and huge water pressure. Small fridge with the usual tea, coffee, sugar as other hotels. We had breakfast there and was fantastic

Very large, clean suite. Bathroom was huge! Good parking at back of building though a -long- way from our room at the front in older classier part of hotel. Only thing was our room was very cold and took ages to warm up, due to small heater and large room with at least 15 ft height to ceiling.

It's a great location in the middle of town with ample parking. Check-in was quick and cheerful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good and convenient. Service was very good here too.

This is a hidden gem of Oamaru. It’s a renovated hotel of yesteryear. Rooms renovated, bathrooms new. We sat by the gas fire in the lounge area in the evening and enjoyed a continental breakfast in the front room in the morning. The ambience is lovely with old world charm. Staff are excellent. We would stay again when in town, that’s the best recommendation that you can give.

Don’t be put off by the aging exterior, the rooms are basic but very clean & comfortable.

Grand whitestone Oamaru hotel in good renovated condition. Large very clean Victorian bedroom with modern bathroom. We had dinner and drinks in the bar and dining room. The friendly barman doubled as the waiter and went out of his way to make our evening special.....thanks
