I recommend this traditional country pub. Lovely spacious room. Great bathroom. Friendly staff. Views. Shared balcony. Shared kitchen. I suggest you phone to confirm last minute bookings as the room I booked had been let between booking and when I got there.

First floor Double room was accessed by a well-worn staircase with grubby carpet, upstairs from pub & gaming-room. Room was adequate for our needs. Price is very reasonable. Great location. Have to park car on street. Stayed a Saturday night and was awakened at frequent intervals by drunken revellers on the street below. Wld recommend for a one-night stay.

Probably the best value accommodation I've ever stayed in. Single room is compact which means you can get it nice and toasty on a cool winter night. Bed is comfortable, you get a full-sized fridge, plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, decent sized flat screen TV, good shower in the en-suite and a nice, friendly welcome. Not to mention it's smack in the middle of town for convenience with loads of on-street parking right at the door. Absolutely perfect for the solo traveler.

The people were friendly. Gave us an off street park so our bike were safe. The room was basic but clean, comfortable bed and really warm. The room was serviced on the second day which was unexpected but lovely to have clean towels. Excellent location in the middle of town. Not flash but great value and I would certainly recommend it. We enjoyed our stay

The staff were all friendly and helpful and the service was great! Our room was spacious with comfortable beds and a fantastic shower! Room is a little dated and definitely in need of new blockout curtains (and a lightbulb!) but very spacious and had everything you needed for a night away. Will definitely stay again in the future! Restaurant had great food too

good price for quick stopover. Accessible room/shower for my son was helpful checkin good. Not very clean, fridge dirty, dusty shelves etc. No plug on shelf for appliances. No ventilation. Window would have opened a little above the main street.

Old time pub quite dark, looking past that into accommodation, comfortable clean with an ensuite, no toiletries except hand soap Tea and coffee facilities and a toaster Pleasure to have stayed 😊

The room I booked and stayed in is not actually part of the actual hotel. It is in a separate building next to the hotel. It is similar to a large granny flat with 5-6 small rooms with shared amenities (one for male and one for female). The room was small but functional. Not bad for a short stay. Reception was quite friendly and engaged in good customer service.

This is in a great location, kind of like a lodge style above the old hotel. The room was comfy but could have been cleaner! Suit budget style for one or two nights
