An excellent location. Rooms are nice. Mattress a bit on the soft side (I guess depends on what you like). Showers and bath nice. Restaurant is decent priced and the food that we had was excellent. Cleaning can be bit more attentive to detail. But overall a great place to stay.

The best hotel in Auckland! Beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean rooms. Amazing staff, that are always attentive and helpful. There is nothing to fault at Hotel DeBrett. I have stayed at Intercontinental Auckland, Park Hyatt, Hotel Britomart…Hotel DeBrett is my favourite of the lot. Staff at Vivace, the onsite restaurant are also just wonderful. Always have a smile on their face and very welcoming. Nothing to fault whatsoever! 5 stars all round.

We loved our superior corner room with heated bathroom floors! Very clean room. Walked to Auckland cruise port with luggage (5 or 6 minutes). Restaurant in property and 4 or 5 others than 1/2 block away. Great location for us. All staff encountered were knowledgeable and friendly.

Everything stood out. The room was clean, spacious, fabulously decorated and the bed was massive and comfortable. The restaurant manager was outstanding and the breakfast one of the best breakfasts we have had for many years. Service was excellent. She was also very informative regarding places we should go in NZ. Cute bar with knowledgeable bar staff. Highly recommend this hotel.
