In September 2020, we spent a weekend night here. The online reviews stated that this hotel has everything you need. We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. The only problem was that the company was unable to connect to the internet because of work. But that did not stop us from enjoying our stay. There is no way to live without internet for a day! We are happy to suggest Long House.

For the train trip to the alpine railway, I stayed one night. Nothing was too much trouble for the host, who was extremely helpful. really appreciated. From noise to reality, the main road demands careful consideration. Very nice units with the added benefit of a shared room with a view of the sky. Lovely rural setting. Breakfast was straightforward but meticulously prepared in the unit. They are an additional bonus, even when they may not always be appreciated! Many thanks for a wonderful visit. Excellent value for money. Definitely coming back this way.

Excellent value in a peaceful country setting. When we arrived, I was greeted by a friendly greeting. The breakfast was an unexpected extra, and our room was clean and comfy. This place is near a beautiful lakerunner, so it's worth the journey from Greymouth.

Exceptionally clean and has a lot of amenities that you'd anticipate from a good hotel. Although it is a tiny location, when you are noisy, you can hear your neighbors' neighbors. I cannot recommend it enough. Gail is a lovely lady who takes care of your every need. Different locations outside, a beautiful outlook. It is not too far from the township, and from what I hear from others who have stayed there, we were the winners. Excellent value for the money. If you use one of the restaurants and bars in the town has a courtesy van that can be picked up and returned if you use it. Although we didn't use it, there is no problem with transport if you require it. Friendly dogs and cats, excellent birdlife, and a couple of polite individuals came to say hello. The cicadas and birds are delightful to hear while you may have a glass of wine and observe the stunning horizon.

I really enjoy my stay at this hotel and think it's our last time staying here, The room was clean, the staff is very kind and helpful, and the hotel is also labelled as a long house for lake runners.
