Eine Unterkunft mitten im Rainforest. Sehr ruhig, großes Zimmer, die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen war vorhanden. Die Gastgeberin Samara war sehr freundlich, gab uns einige Tipps für Wanderungen.

Stunning location. Beautiful gardens and ‘secret’ pathways. Very quiet. Comfortable beds and powerful shower! Beautiful lounge and dining area and well set up with pool table. Would be great for a group but also relaxing for a couple. Wonderful stay.

Such a lovely place to stay! Friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was wonderful. The accommodation complex was clean, tidy, cosy and modern. Loved the scenery and the quiet, listening to the tūīs in the morning was bliss! Noticed many surrounding walks and nearby zoos for anyone with families. Highly recommend to others! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your fantastic hospitality! 😁

Our stay was great. It’s a short bush walk to Pukeiti. The lodge is very clean and tidy with big comfy couches. The shower pressure is amazing and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely.

We stayed at the Patcha for 4 wonderful nights. Situated a short distance from sakura, the lodge is about an hour's drive from Upper Piltons Rp, cleverly hidden deep inside and adjacent to the Pukeiti rainforest. Every day, an incredible bird song starts, and the taranaki region is filled with fun and interesting sights. Mountain activity, beach walks, fly fishing or walking right from the lodge. The Pukeiti rainforest trail starts directly off the main driveway. Our room was very spacious, and the newly upgraded bathroom was spotless and had excellent water pressure as someone else has already noted. The communal areas are also very roomy, cozy, and expansive, and cosy, with views of the Pouakai Range and a view of snow-capped taranaki if you stroll down the property. Sally. Sallysally. We miss you! Thank you for your generosity and warmth. I can't recall a more kind greeting than you did. Plus, we appreciated how you went above and beyond to eat us. We will return someday, maybe somewhere, sometime, but in the meantime, I hope to send more friends to stay at the patcha.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are just what we need to fuel our day while exploring beautiful taranaki! The lodge itself has such a lovely cosy and homey feeling. There are many fun things to do with your family and friends with access to a bar, pool table and movie lounge area, even on a rainy day! The grounds are maintained very well, and even if you decide to spend the entire time at the lodge, you wont be out of choices for things to do like walking down to the river or strolling through the lush gardens. I honestly cannot criticize the room. It was perfectly clean and the bed was very, very comfy. The bathroom clearly has just been renovated and is stunning my partner enjoyed the waterfall shower! You can tell the owners care about making their guests stay as perfect as possible by adding special touches like leaving locally made coffee and some highend chocolates. There was also excellent access to tea and coffee making facilities with what seemed to be an endless supply of bikes! Although this was our first time staying, it will not be our last! Thank you owners sally and harry for making our stay so enjoyable! Looking forward to returning soon for another stay in your peaceful paradise!

The location is great, the host is friendly, but the location needs renovation. Breakfast was a big disappointment. No juice, no eggs, no cheese or ham. Returning after a long day and finding out that the bed has not been made which is fine and that no replacement of the towels has been done. Paying nzd 185 per night is a joke.

Thank you for your warm welcome, we came here to a great place with excellent group facilities. The best place for an extended family or other group to meet and enjoy the surroundings. A great breakfast to send you on your way for the next day.

Nice lodge in the mountains near the volcano. Samara was an excellent hostess. Room was very clean. Appreciated breakfast. Beware of the one lane road for several kilometers to get there. It felt unsafe.
