We really like our stay here. The place is quite basic but also a good place for budget travellers because it's slightly off the beaten path and has a less touristy vibe. The owner is amazing, he helped us with any questions, arranged transportation, and did our laundry without any fees. Since it's a homestay, it's a much nicer experience than a typical hotel. The place has a simple rustic charm, but it is still cozy. AC is good, clean, a decent mattress. Disappointing features are AC, clean room. There are also ants coming if you leave food in the trash can, but they are tiny harmless ants that quickly go away if you trash it out.

We had to switch rooms on the other hand, instead we got a sixbeddoor room, which was a little dismal. Because the property is right next door to the school, the location has a lovely garden, and isnt the quietest. It is also quite away from the beaches, but easily accessible by jeep 8 pesos to Tagbilaran or by tricycle 60 pesos if youre lucky 100 pesos are a standard. There isnt much to do in Baclayon, the church is still being repaired, but there is a nice pier if you want to catch a sunrise, sunset, or a ferry to Anglo island. The hosts were friendly and took time to talk. Meeting the family and spending a little time with them was a real pleasure. The staff was very nice, and the kitchen lady was very helpful. Ah, the breakfast wasnt outstanding but ok rice egg and slice of ham. After our grd of ith night, we discovered a lot of bedbugs on the sheets as well. Stayed 7 nights, maybe the next time I visit Anglo. One step from the beach without spending money on transportation.

My family and I have stayed here twice. The owner, Miss Palette Javier, is friendly and always makes sure that we are well taken care of. Breakfast is normal. Only the comfortable room can't sink the water after a prolonged shower. The setting of this homestay is nicer than those in Anglo because it's peaceful and I enjoy afternoon walks along the port, near the Baclayon municipal hall. Although there are mosquitoes in the garden in the dining hall, it's a great spot to interact with the family. Wifi has a strong and fast connection.

The location in Baclayon is very central, not far from the church in the Tagbilaran direction. The market and Baluarte neighborhood are not far away. The walkin price for the bungalow I stayed in number 3 is 1200, which in my opinion is a little too much for what it is. The room is very simple, queen size, not very comfortable, bed, small aircorn unit, small enough I never tried it if it worked, bathroom with toilet and cold shower. A basic breakfast of instant coffee, eggs, rice, or bread is included. It is very loud, especially on weekends, as there is a school next door. The owners are very nice people who always like to talk.

We stayed one night at this homestay which is actually a guesthouse. The room was fine and there was a seating area outside. The owners were extremely hospitable and really gave you the impression that you were at home. The Baclayon Church and the Market are also within walking distance. There are a number of interesting heritage houses nearby the homestay. We loved our stay.
