This is a great hostel. Very clean, right on the beach, incredible service. It did get rowdy at night, but was not a trashy vibe at all - fine if you were not trying to party. We are a couple in our 30s and enjoyed ourselves.

Vi bodde i hyttene på toppen, det var veldig kjekt. God seng, god gjennomtrekk da det blåste en del, mulig det er varmere når det ikke er vind, men det er en ganske solid vifte der inne som nok klarer å kjøle det en del ned. Fest på kvelden, men det varte ikke så lenge. Vi var fornøyde og jeg hadde lett bodd her igjen :)

I dont really stay in hostels, but i decided to stay here with friends, and im glad i did. The food was not great, but it wasnt disappointing! The rooms were clean, and it wasnt as noisy as i expected at night! They have a nice live band. Also, there is a dj named izzy who is very friendly, amazing, and well capable of entertaining guests!.

Tempatnya bagus, pantainya indah. Sebaliknya, kami tidur di gubuk yang tidak nyaman, mahal harganya. Stafnya kurang ramah dan makanannya tidak jujur. Itu masih tempat yang bagus untuk bertemu orang.

The hostel is very good and fun, every night was something different. The location is perfect, right on the beach and very scenic. The staff were also very helpful in booking day activities and keeping the fun going on. Kurt the manager is one of the most helpful staff and helped me find my lost shoes in the morning.

I highly recommend staying here. This hostel is amazing for staying and enjoying! They provided us with free drinks all day long. No other island hopping tour can compare to mad monkeys. Jovan has made us feel like family.

Pengalaman yang sangat rata-rata. Makanan terlalu mahal dengan porsi kecil. Stafnya ramah. Bar kehabisan barang setiap hari termasuk bir dan seharusnya menjadi asrama pesta. DJnya hebat. Saya juga cukup terkejut mereka tidak.

I spent three nights in a dorm with six beds as a solo traveler. The personnel were all incredibly kind and accommodating, and i was fortunate to have made friends with some of the visitors. The setting is fantastic! This is not the spot to go if you want peace and quiet. This is a party hostel with a lot of loud party music and drinks. There are many free shots at the bar concept. The cuisine and prices were both quite westernized. They have to wait a very long time to prepare the orders. Many visitors complained about waiting too long. Apart from that, the hostels activities are really inventive, and the staff makes sure no single traveler is sitting awkwardly in the corner.

Even if we werent sleeping here, we spent our nights in this beautiful place. Kurt is the best general manager ever, who did a lot for us in these days. We also had a sunset cruise and a boat trip with the right mix of adventure and fun! We also had a party and met many friends here! A special thank you to the mad monkey staff who are super and amazing! Come and enjoy it!.

The two days we spent here were an ideal experience. First of all, the location and beach are amazing, and on the other hand, the rooms are very convenient and pleasant. However, even if i give it 5 stars, i still have a few things to say about the food and beverage service, which sometimes takes a long time and includes a few mistakes. But thats just one detail in a wonderful experience. I recommend it, especially for backpackers and youth groups!.

It was a 45minute drive from the town, but it was well worth it. Great for relaxing and unwinding. What i like about it is that the beach isnt busy, so it seems like the beach is all yours. The toilet rooms are very well maintained. Their food is always delicious. There are nights activities and you can meet new people, so you will definitely never get bored. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have no preferences, so whether you are a foreign or local tourist, you will definitely be treated well. Mad monkey is now one of my favorite places to visit.

Saya menginap di Mad Monkey selama 5 hari dan itu adalah pengalaman menginap yang menyenangkan. Pantainya luar biasa, jika Anda berjalan sedikit lebih jauh, Anda sendirian di dunia surga. Staf sangat ramah terutama Maria, kami bertemu dengannya di lokasi, dia adalah seorang wanita yang sangat baik. Sangat baik, selalu memperhatikan kami setiap saat. Suasana nyaman di malam hari dan santai di siang hari.

I had a wonderful 3 nights at mad monkey. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, the food is good and the drinks are reasonably priced. The atmosphere and staff make the place special, especially kurt who looked after us very well during our stay. Highly recommend staying again.

The staff was excellent, especially kurt, who went above and beyond to ensure that we all had the best stay possible. The rooms were spacious, and there were plenty of showers, so you never had to wait. Nacpan beach is stunning, and the island hopping tour the hostel offers is fantastic.

Nice hostel with large beds and individual fans. Be careful at night because it gets quite hot without air conditioning. The location is great because it is right on the beach. The food was disappointing, overpriced, and not great. The road to the hostel is terrible, so beware and try gravol before you arrive.

Abends immer was los. Super Stimmung jeden Abend und sehr nette und lustige Leute kennengelernt. Zudem super Location direkt am Strand! Allerdings viel zu teuer für das was das Hostel an Ausstattung und Komfort bietet.

I don't usually write negative reviews but I had to with this hostel. First off, the staff were great, no complaints there. I never stayed in the dorm area as they were all booked so no comment there. I had a loft style room. The stairs up to it were very steep. I can see someone falling on the way down if they've had a few too many. One of the steps was very rotted out and felt like it may give way any day. I get we are in a somewhat remote area of Palawan but the power and wifi kept going off. With no cell coverage, kind of a bummer when trying to arrange your flights etc. My last gripe was their food menu. Everytime I wanted to order anything, "Sorry sir we are all out" The amount of times I heard this for myself and other guests. Whoever is in charge of the food inventory needs to do better. You can walk to any other place on the beach and they have everything available on their menu. I would stay here again but would have lower expectations for certain things.
