Excellent staff and property. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and very well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was great with different selections every day. The only problem was the WiFi connection…it was non existent more than half the time. You had to go to one of the main areas like the pool and restaurants to get a decent connection. If they can only get the internet connection right, this would’ve been a perfect stay.

I've lived in many hotels/resorts in the US, Europe and Asia. The Funny Lion in Coron offered the BEST customer service experience EVER! Their constant attention to your every need during your entire stay cannot be matched elsewhere. The only problem that I find, through no fault of Funny Lion and its staff, is the amount of what the locals call niknik bugs that Palawan has, both in El Nido and Coron. Make sure to bring your OFF with Citronella. Their head chef used to work for Amanpulo Resorts, the local supervisor Jen was the best I've seen in getting her staff to give us a very wonderful and memorable stay in Funny Lion!

I have never experienced such wonderful hospitality and attentive staff. This place is a tricycle ride to the center of town so it was quiet and felt safe. They are able to arrange tours which was convenient. They have an excellent restaurant with good breakfast food and a Saturday night buffet with an acoustic singer for entertainment. I would definitely come back to this hotel.
