Clean, comfortable rooms with an amazing breakfast buffet. Views from rooms where amazing. Close to airport. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms a bit dated and pool area could use a refresh but overall a great stay. This made our canceled flight experience a bit better :-)

We wanted to make our anniversary special, so we chose this hotel for its location, pools and mention of a restaurant. Everything was prepared beautifully. I truly wish I remembered the names of the staff or had written them down. There was an older gentleman and a woman with braces in the restaurant that were so incredibly attentive and kind. There was a woman with glasses and a gentleman with facial hair at the front desk that were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They made this location an 11/10. We could not be happier with the level of service provided. I could not imagine a better stay in Madeira.

I can’t rave enough about this place! It was the most luxurious vacation I’ve ever been on. From the views to the food, not to mention the absolutely amazing staff (shoutout to Claudia, you absolute angel) you will not be disappointed. In fact, you’re missing out if you don’t choose Albatroz!

Wij vonden het heel fijn dat het een "kleine" accommodatie was, met veel persoonlijke aandacht voor de gasten. Zonder uitzondering was het personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij de omschrijving was het duidelijk dat er bijvoorbeeld bij het zwembad geluidsoverlast was door het verkeer. Een grote plus voor ons was het zoutwater zwembad en de tuin. Ontbijt & diner waren goed! Voldoende keuze en afwisseling. Bij avondeten (gelukkig) ook voldoende groenten. Centrale ligging aan de wat "zonnerige" zuidkant van het eiland.

Booked due to our cancelled flight, was a quick checked in and very professional service. Room was clean and spacious. After a long wait for our flight back to London and then be cancelled a nice place to rest is all we needed. Thanks for the complimentary bow of fruits delivered to our room and a litre of drinking water. They also offered an airport transport which is a big bonus.

An attractive hotel featuring kind and welcoming staff . Beautiful swimming pools and gardens . The interior felt a little dated, especially in the library/game room area . The door key cards were a little problematic . But. the staff were delightful !

The environment is incredibly calm, clean, and spacious. A huge thank you to the team—with a special mention to the reception and restaurant staff for their exceptional hospitality. This is a smaller, wonderful hotel - a hidden gem! It's very well managed with fantastic staff and an attentive owner who visits often to sample the fantastic locally-sourced food.

The extra touches… fruit basket when I arrived, daily treats delivered to room before supper, incredible food, especially fish dish with banana. The ocean saltwater pools, sun deck with service next to heated pool … staff very kind and friendly, they treated me like a king. The view and rhythmic gentle crashing of wave on the cliff below. The sunrise and sunset here is … calming to soul. Very clean and kept resort. Flowers and grass. Close to airport and town is just a short walk Highly recommend this resort.

Das Hotel war grundsätzlich nicht so meins, es ist von der Einrichtung her schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Sauberkeit und Betten sind jedoch top. Was hervorragend war, ist das Personal. Ich wurde selten so lieb empfangen. Wir hatten um 4 Uhr morgens den Rückllug und wir konnten den Shuttle Bus ausserordentlich um 1.45 Uhr von Hotel zum Flughafen buchen, ausserdem wurde uns ein Brunchpaket zusammengestellt. Die zwei Herren, die uns zum Flughafen gefahren haben, waren super nett und hilfsbereit, danke!
