Funcionários atenciosos, disponíveis, educados e simpáticos. Tivemos a experiência de sermos os únicos hóspedes no hotel e desta forma, tivemos um atendimento único.

. Beautiful manor house surrounded by gardens and vineyards with wood fires burning in the dining area and a fireplace large enough to walk into. Beautiful rooms, immaculate linens, thoughtful touches like a jug of water and fresh fruit in the afternoon, delicious breakfast. All these things make this a wonderful place to stay, crowned by the graciousness of the house manager, gloria and her dog bijou, who escorted us around the property. The weather didn't cooperate for us to use the pool or the badminton court, but we had eat at the recommended restaurant, o cairo in a nearby town and it was one of our best meals in Portugal, which is really a big deal because we found the food there to be consistently delicious and even reasonable. I highly recommend this home. When we were there we had the entire house to ourselves, so we felt as if we were living in our own country home in Portugal!.

We were welcomed by Augusta who has looked after this family house for 25 years. We were the only people staying in this wonderful house and will will go back. The Guest House is about an hour away from the Douro River. The drive was magnificent though the vineyards. I could have not got better service in a 5* hotel at a fraction of the cost. Overall magnificent 👍

After staying in the 'big' cities of Porto and Braga we were looking for something rustic and atmospheric. This charming Quinta fit the bill perfectly. We were greeted warmly by the young caretakers and shown to a lovely bedroom with the most perfect terrace; a gorgeous view and very private. Lovely bathroom with deep tub. Everything is very clean. If you're looking for Ikea or 'post modern' this is not it -- but if you're looking to set back in time, to take your time over a hearty breakfast, to sit with a book overlooking the Vinho Verde vines and then go out on an adventure to eat in the evening, then this is for you. We adored it.

We stayed in suite do lago for 4 nights, which was a very spacious room with our own living area, fireplace, bathroom, and balcony with a view of the wine fields. We were the only guests, so we had access to the lovely breakfast area. It was the best breakfast we had on our journey and made you feel very welcome. The house looks like an old manor house, and it is full of lovely old furniture, paintings, etc. It is surrounded by lovely gardens, and we enjoyed the pool table as well. Parking is not a problem because there is plenty of room to park. It is not far from the highway, so you can be on your way to day trips, for example guimaraes, titanic de briteiros, Brazil very quickly. The recommended restaurant Paco in the nearby Arch of Bathe was worth it. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool during our stay due to the weather being too cold, but it looked good. The only thing to change was replacing the towels during your stay, and maybe some tips on what else is there to do in the area.

On a minibus backroad trip in northern Portugal, I enjoyed two beautiful nights at Casa de Caned. I was with six of us, including our driver. A wonderful day and supper. I wished we could have remained longer when it was time to depart. The dining room is in an old kitchen, with a walk-in fireplace and chimney. Dinner options included vegetable soup, duck with rice, and an orange mousse. On the table, bottles of their own green wine and white wine made from their own grapes appeared one after the other. A norwegian couple who is also in the house remained with us for dinner. Three Canadians, three Australians, me, our driver, a british driver who lives in Barcelona, are among our guests. The home includes a library and spacious living spaces. My room has a four-poster bed, vintage furnishings, and an assured bathroom with a lovely panel of azulejos on one wall. I wished we had stayed longer when it was time to depart. I adored Portugal and the people and the people, and the staff was incredibly kind.

Although Casa de Caned might be a bit out of the way for many people touring northern Portugal, it is really well worth it. Here is a beautiful old mansion house steeped in history and full of antiques and objects darts. There is so much to see and absorb from the small chapel to the old kitchen and lovely courtyards. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the latest cons. The breakfast is to die for quite the best we have had on several trips to Portugal. Gloria the housekeeper is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. If you are feeling energetic, there is a small pool nestled in the case colourful gardens. And a badminton net. The wifi works well. We did not eat dinner at the casa, but it was possible by prior arrangement which might be a good idea because there are few restaurants nearby. Casa de Caned is a word.. Unmissable!.

We recently returned from a threenight stay at this manor in Baste de Caned. My mother, a friend, and I found the location to be very charming. In a somewhat rural, very old Portuguese manor house, precisely what one would expect. We heartily endorse it. The most pleasant details were 1. The manager offered to move one of us who was going to sleep on the sofa bed to a separate, adjacent, lovely room as it wasnt occupied while still paying for the single room. The rooms were immaculate and was cleaned daily. 2. Access to the kitchenfridge to store and prepare some small nightly meals of cheese, sausage, bread, fruit, and wine made from grapes at their vineyards cost a bottle of wine 2.50 euros 3. The bowl of fresh fruit and water left in our room the second night we arrived. In addition to these specific details, the continental breakfast was excellent and served in a dining room filled with items Id like to own. We ordered dinner there one night, and it was also quite tasty and traditional. The woman manager, who has lived there for 12 years with her family, was very helpful but not overbearing. In the end, we had such a pleasant experience that one day we chose to stay by the pool rather than driving out. Please keep in mind that the casa does not accept credit cards, and that only because we didn
