We wanted a swimming pool apartment because we had a last-minute weekend reservation. The place is so peaceful, just a 10-minute walk from the old town's main square and a short walk to the beach, and the pool area is lovely and serene away from the bustling city. It was recently renovated and exceptionally clean. We received one with a lovely, strong shower, a tiny refrigerator, and peaceful air conditioning. In the hot summer, this is crucial. We did not experience any problems because the owners do not speak English. The only thing to keep in mind is that the city is quite noisy at night, and because the apartment is so near to the main square, noise infiltrates the space. You will never have to worry about using earplugs. In addition to swimming towels, be aware that during your stay, the towels are not replaced with serviced.

One of the hotels that I have stayed at previously has been recommended by my pals. This little guest house is situated in the heart of the old town of Albufeira. The rooms are clean and fresh, and the showers are very impressive. The rooftop terrace with the pool is a lovely place with fantastic views as well. The noise is definitely heard, as you are in the heart of the old town. You must get there by car, and it's a 2-minute walk from the taxi terminal. The proprietors don't speak a word of English, but we got by and didn't bother us a bit.

We had a good experience while staying here. The public area in the room is nicely maintained and clean. Since you are behind the Sir Harry Bar, 50 meters from the old town square, we found no problem with the noise. The location was ideal for us. We only used the peaceful rooftop pool a few times in the closing hours. We skipped their breakfast at 6 euros per person because we woke up early and walked each day during our 5 night stay. Half hour stroll to the marina, one way, and half hour walk to Playa I, the other. We discovered some lovely hidden treasures. No tea or coffee facilities, which were missed, but we had already confirmed this before making our reservation. A 5-minute stroll to a lovely beach. We were able to maintain a fair communication with the hosts, even though they were French.
