The property sits in the Alfama district of Lisbon. The oldest and most historic district of the city. It is quaint with stunningly beautiful views of the city. We were told by a staff member the hotel was the first convent founded in the city, hence, the name Convento do Salvador. This hotel is in a very narrow and steep cobblestone street. Some taxis and Uber drivers do not go down to the hotel to pick up passengers and it is necessary to go up to one of the main thoroughfares to get the Uber. If you have difficulties walking and/or climbing, this, perhaps isn’t the place for you. However, we found it quaint with an inner courtyard, comfortable with a mi ima list and modern vibe, clean and with warm, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was wonderful. I would stay there again!

Very nice location within the Old District. Hotel is very modern and clean inside. Small but very efficient rooms. The breakfast buffet for $12 euros was an added bonus.

Nice location, walkable (hilly and narrow) to places to eat and just to wander and explore. Taxis are able to drop you off right at the door. We had the best corner room in the hotel, river and street below and a view to the street above the hotel... and spacious. Good breakfast! friendly and helpful staff. Shower is nice, but like all euro showers, water goes everywhere. Hotel is nice and modern inside.

La ubicación del hotel es perfecta! Muy cerca del Castillo de San Jorge y de la Catedral. Los cuartos son pequeños, para dos personas están muy bien, para tres ya se siente muy apretado. Un lugar muy limpio y agradable! Pero lo que destaca, es la atención del personal de la recepción, gente muy amable y servicial.

We had a room for three, but it was quite small. We could not control the air conditioning and we’re cold most of the time. I did not take advantage of the breakfast so I can’t comment on that. The staff were very helpful in finding our way around and food.
