For the first time in over 20 years, my husband and I went to a funeral in old town. This hotel is close to everything Old Town offers, but it is up a steep hill that can be challenging in the hot sun when cars are also on the road. We were in room 001, which overlooks the yard and pool area. It is exceptionally large, has plenty of storage, and is clean with 2 showers! The entire hotel is spotless and calm. The room has 2 single beds that are pushed together, a large balcony, a small refrigerator, and we were provided a kettle, but we had already brought our own. We also bought milk, wine, and beer to save some money. We only had a meal at the hotel restaurant, which was lovely. There is absolutely nothing for young adults or children. Despite being quiet hotel with no entertainment, there isn't music around the pool. Breakfast items are not hot, not warm, and are generally chilly. There are no menus outside, and many people do not speak English while we were there. I'm not sure who the woman who reserved the breakfast table a few mornings was and was informed she was some kind of manager? It can be pleasant, but sometimes food is provided and not of the highest quality. Purchase dishcloths and hotplates. Try eating breakfast instead of ordering freshly squeezed juice and freshly poached

After reading some prior reviews, we were worried about being moved to another hotel upon arrival, but after a smooth taxi ride from the airport, we had no issues and checkin was quick and efficient, if not exactly warm and friendly. This is a nice hotel in a great location for the old town. Very nicely decorated throughout with some very nice touches and some stylish and unusual pieces of furniture. Loved it's slightly old-fashioned but grand style lots of marble, wood, and metal railing. It's a quiet hotel, there is no entertainment and definitely nothing for kids here. This makes for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The bar closes at 11 p.m., which is a bit early... We didn't want to relax too much! Our room faced the sea, but it was 1 level above the restaurant and 2 levels above the pool, with a lovely view. The breakfast buffet is not as extensive as some hotels, but there are some very nice terraces on various levels, with comfortable seats to sit out and take in the wonderful view and 2 indian restaurants, which are also near the cable car. There is nothing to do with the hotel, but our departure was delayed 24 hours due to high winds, and we were taken from the airport to the bail azul for the night. The hotel is situated on a hill, and there is a lot of cafes here.

After a delayed arrival, I had a great time. The employees were friendly and offered to upgrade my room for no additional cost. The main tourist area of funeral is accessible on foot, yet the neighborhood is still close enough if you want to go market, etc. The breakfast was a little lacking, but it was plentiful, and the evening meals were fantastic. We adore the old-fashioned design and presence.

The second floor room had a balcony with a view of the pool, water, and sea. The ladies who came in every day were fantastic. Everything was spotless. If you're a light sleeper, be vigilant. This hotel was superb, spotless, and close to all the dining establishments, however, the route down to the dining establishments can be dangerous if it rains or becomes slippery. There is also a cockerel, so be cautious if you're a light sleeper. However, if you stroll down through the banana plantation and where they grow other items, badges with a cockerel are right at the bottom. It cannot belong to anyone but the hotel. Most individuals simply ignore it. Also, it has magnificent views, and hover there is planning to build in front of this hotel, which would be a disaster for the hotel if they built higher, it will block the view. It was breathtaking. The ladies who came in each day were incredible. The room was spotless, everything was well-kept.
